April 14, 20197 yr Would be very surprised if we went to Old Trafford and got a win. I think a top four finish is extremely unlikely personally.
April 14, 20197 yr We can keep Sarri in charge for weeks or years, but we'll still get bested when it comes to the crunch. Not up to it, sadly.
April 14, 20197 yr We were outworked all over the pitch today. That said we are architects of our own failure, their first goal was started by a passage of play from our free kick when we gave it away needlessly. The second goal was a wonderstrike but Jorginho was slow to sense the danger. We had several good situations afterwards and failed to capitilise. Is Higuain the most unfit top flight footballer around?

We lost against a better team, undone by 2 great (one wonder) goals we couldn’t do much about. Performance wise, this wasn’t Bournemouth, or City away, or Arsenal away. Why do so many on here persist with the narratives from earlier in the season that no longer apply?

April 14, 20197 yr We were hopeless from the off... As soon as i saw Hazard as the false 9 i knew we were f**ked !! Sarri is blindly stubborn, and well out of his depth in this league. Added to that he seems to fail in all aspects of management, players, media, tactics, in fact all the things you need to succeed in the prem. For me he's become lost, one minute bowing to the fans, then going back to 'his' plan and f**king it up, what's next ???

Tottenham seem to be over their wobbles and I don't trust Sarri to get us a win against United. Understood, and certainly a dent in the 4th place hope. But I don’t think it’s damaging ik a broader sense. maybe I misunderstood. Getting a result at Anfield was always a big ask though. What were you expecting?
April 14, 20197 yr the question for me is whether Sarri is learning anything from his first season and can he either re-shape the team or create a strategy that gets us better results. if the transfer ban holds, we are f*cked with the same squad, less Hazard, Higuain and Kovacic - so what's his plan???
April 14, 20197 yr Cue everything completely flipping their view on Sarri again because we lost. If we bounce back on Monday we'll be fine. Just beaten by a better team and we're a work in progress.

April 14, 20197 yr It's Europa or bust in terms of Champions League next season now I think. I don't think Sarri did much wrong with the line up today, agreed with it personally. But the issue is (aside from those two Hazard chances) that we looked lifeless after their goals. Generally like for like subs and the players don't seem to have that fire under them which a top manager would inspire . Admittedly this is one of the mentally weaker groups we've seen at Chelsea recently- but Sarri should go at the end of the season, Europa or not. Although after him, not really sure who. Bad times at the minute.
April 14, 20197 yr We're just not a top side any more. The board thought they could keep switching managers and getting miraculous titles, but all the while our squad has been decreasing in quality and we're now at the point where there are 4 or 5 sieds in the PL who are simply better than us. We are so far from the side that dominated England and was a real force in Europe, a decade or so ago.
April 14, 20197 yr There's no way we're finishing top 4 now. We still have to go to Utd and Leicester. We should concentrate on Europa league now, it's silverware at least and gives us a passage into the champions league next season.
April 14, 20197 yr Do you understand basic probability? Losing against Liverpool just doesn’t constitute failure. I’m not making excuses. It’s you that is biased and will always find a way to blame Sarri.

This we got beaten by one of the best teams in Eurpoe with a manager who has been drilling his team for 4 years, we had our chances but didnt take it, we were unlucky hazard should have had a brace simple but we are getting better in the last 5 or so games, some fans just overreact so much is laughable
April 14, 20197 yr The only positive in the race for top 4 is that at least Spurs and Utd still have to play City. Arsenal have 2 games in hand but are f**king useless away from the Emirates. The Utd game in 2 weeks is the defining game I feel.
