Chelsea v Liverpool (PL) Sun 22nd Sep 16:30 GMT

Cant confirm but we will likely have MnM , Rudy, Kante and the rest still  injured or not match ready.

Liverpool haven't lost in the prem for consecutive 14 matches which they have all won !

I'm not gonna make any more predictions after my 2-2 wolves one. But I will say that i think that getting any kind of result vs the Dippers with a bare bones squad and w some of the best players in that squad out injured, will require everything to go perfectly on the day for CFC.

So those who appear to be running out of patience with our new manager despite all of the handicapping circumstances hes facing, they better take a good few deep breathes before & after the match.

I expect a defeat. Hard as it is to say they are a damn good side, one of the best in Europe.

Anything other than a loss is big bonus. Good experience for Tammy, Tomori etc to play a side of this caliber.

Why does it seem that we are plagued with injuries lately, ones that seem to go on and on. Fuzzy memory but has our medical team lost their touch, or are our newest lot a bit light weight. In the past the medics appeared to do miracles getting players back sooner than expected. All seems a bit al'arse.

2-0 Chelsea. Willian before Pedro? Come on now, I prefer the player with champions league finals goals and numerous other important goals, including for Chelsea. Willian is nowhere to be found for such occasion.

The medical team forgot to say "don't stick you leg there Mason" [emoji16]

Papers say Mount could be back for Sunday. Not sure what to think about it. Intense game on Sunday and I’d be concerned about possible long term damage if it repeats. Obviously the medical staff know best but if Frank has to make a call I’d prefer to leave him out.

Pedro has been dogsh*t every time he's played this season. Willian's end product is lacking as always, but there's been no comparison between the two when they've played this season, Willian is still lightning fast and a wonderful dribbler, Pedro hasn't looked at his best for some time now, and I'm a big fan of his.

Pedro has been dogs**t most of the time he's played for us in terms of consistency. Not a good passer, too many mistakes, not a good dribbler anymore, he is getting outrunned by anyone. But.. he is banging goals, especially in those matches. Willian has never been a leader, he never decided anything. I can't think of any, he might have scored some goals, I don't remember. Pedro? Goals against United first goal for 4-0, Tottenham equalizer, Arsenal in Europa League final, Arsenal for 3-2 victory, Everton away to secure the title... probably there are more. He is just that type of player that you need on the pitch. Like Drogba.

Keep the back three so their full-backs have direct opponents higher up the pitch. Alternatively copy exactly what Carlo did on Tuesday and play a flat 4-4-2 to the same effect.

Most important of all... pray to God that Kanté is fit or we're buggered.

I thought Wolves and Valencia were hard games, it turned out it wasn't that much overwhelming at all.

This opponent we know, we have seen and our younglings are going to win this game!

There are no injury updates on Kante, looks to me he will be out for a while.

Every match is different and both us and Liverpool have evolved since the Super Cup as well as some players not being available just now.

With all our injuries to important players, moderate home form, our dodgy defence and keeper against their strikers, we'll do well to get anything from the game.  Be very happy with a draw but can't see us stopping them scoring a few  1-3.

If we don’t win this one then either me, my old man or both of us together are a curse and we’ll have to stop attending. Only two games we’ve won are the only two games we didn’t go to :laugh2:

Same here mate, it will change Sunday, those tossers will get there first defeat and the bridge will rock, can't wait till Sunday, zigger zagger zigger zagger ......

There's obviously a bigger picture but them at home should be 3 points every season, even with half of the team out.

They're good but not in the same bracket as some of the best teams to play in the top division. Salah & Mane's streak will come to an end shortly.

3-0 Chelsea. Abraham, Alonso, Azpillacueta. Start of a run that will see us and City fight it out for the title.

Thing is Liverpool will be a different proposition in the league to a cup. At the moment they are a team that rise to the occasion. On the other hand their game against Napoli was probably tougher than our game.

I think a draw is achievable and even a win but its very very hard to see them not scoring. So we will have to just score as many as them. And frankly that will be tough. I do see that we can run the midfield particularly if Kante is on the pitch.

If Kante is fit I might go with.

Dave Christenson/Rudigier Tomori Palmeri/Luiz

Kante Jorginho Kovacic

Willian Tammy Mason Mount

If Kante is not fit then maybe a back 3

And playing either Mason Mount or Pulisic or Barkely instead of Pedro.

Not sure if Kovacic is up to two big games in a row he rarely plays the 90 minutes.

Also I won't be completely surprised if CHO is on the bench.

Can we score? Absolutely. Tammy is the hottest prospect in the league. Mount can score, Willian usually shows up against them.

Will we concede? At least 1 and most probably 2 goals.

Can we win the Mf-battle? With fit Kante, yes.

Can we win them? Yes but everything has to go our way.

Psychologially this is a good time to face them. They can afford to lose or draw this and we are the clear underdog.
