In most cases I agree, though we put ourselves in the situation for Tomoroi to leave, along with Tammy. Had they been played often I think they would have signed new deals.

Tomori did sign a long term deal, we just made a pretty poor deal with Milan. 

Broja is looking promising, but it wouldve been a mistake to keep him here this season. We already rotate way too mich to try and keep 7 players happy for 3 positions. Broja wouldve barely played so far this season, other than a few cup games, and maybe 1 or 2 starts assuming he avoided covid when half the squad was out with it. 

Im pretty relaxed about broja, we are in a good position, if we were to sell, it would be on out terms with a buy back option. His stock is only increasing, and premier league teams will now give him the minutes at the highest level he needs to develop. 

Until we trim that forward line enough so he is going to in the rotation,i would keep him out on loan. 

I think Broja will be better than Lukaku best he stays with us, IMO.

IF Chelsea sell Broja, then my assessment would be that they seem to truly lack, or have no interest in, any long distance goals

Abraham played a lot before Tuchel arrived. It was Tuchel's decision to sell Abraham. We didn't sell him because his deal was running out. He wasn't favoured, so made sense for the money we received. 

We sold Tammy, what makes people think that an even younger player will be given a chance, specially now that we signed Lukaku for 5 years?

On that basis Chalobah was never getting a chance because we sold Tomori and Guehi.

I could be just a matter of being at the right place and at the right time, the formation Tuchel uses requires at least 2 backup CBs and when you look at the squad that's exactly what we have in Sarr and Chalobah but we're using Azpilicueta there too. 

If the idea is to have Lukaku for 5 years that's not really suitable for a 20-21 year old, it's only 1 spot and Havertz is supposed to be in the middle there too so Broja would be warming the bench instead of scoring goals, this is why Giroud left.

I think they way Tuchel rotates the forward there's room for him to get enough minutes (if he finally makes Lukaku part of the rotation and not an untouchable).

With any luck he'd do what Edou did and be so good the expensive one can't get back in.

Tuchel plays players over price tag. He’ll be fine

I'd be surprised if we sold him. If we need to raise funds sell Timo Werner back to Germany.

We should keep loaning him out until he reaches his potential, he'd get way more game time that way rather than having to compete with our front line next season

He's only started 9 games on loan this season, not exactly way more game time than he would get for us, and the game time he would get with us would be more significant as he would be under Tuchel.

Apparently Saints are willing to offer a buy back like we dealt with Roma for Tammy.

25mill fee, buy back option in summer of 2024 for 50mill.

The way this guy is playing now he'd be our best forward. We'd be idiots to sell him to Southampton even with a buy-back clause.

He's causing City all kinds of problems with his speed and power right now.

Missed a  pretty easy chance there. Clearly is a Chelsea striker in the lad.

Would be wasted in our team with the way we play.

For as long as there's anyone blaming others for his lack of workrate and things like touching the ball 8 times in a half, yes if our loanee is showing our record signing how to maximize his ability's then i will absolutely point out. Same way i would if people tried to pin Saul's struggles on Jorgi and Kova only for Gilmour to have a great game for Norwich.

If he put himself about, pressed and got involved like Mando did today at The Ethiad last week there's every chance we get a point, if not all three.

Our board is capable of pretty idiotic things. 

Whereever Broja ends up he will be a top, top player. 

Broja is a very good finisher though still needs to work on interplay, I watched some of the City match.

Saints had opportunities and if he had carried the ball a bit further or waited for the pass instead of charging away they might have got all the points. 

A top prospect for us though still a work in progress and has a better first touch than some of our front men.

 

Didnt know he was that fast. He's good but i think another year at Southampton could be the best move for him.

so we will pay 50 million for him to play for 2 seasons at the saints while we could just as well let him play there for free and then recall him anyway??? that's throwing away 25 million
