July 23, 20205 yr Given what's on the line I wouldn't be disappointed with; Caballero Azpi - Rudiger - Zouma - Alonso Kante - Jorginho - Kovacic Willian - Giroud - Pedro Experience over yoof, and if we fail to qualify the yoof aren't to blame. Edited July 23, 20205 yr by the special one

This is really a must win or must not lose which makes it a nervy match and with a newbie Manager we are in to new territory. Aye but to be fair given the situation we were in at the start of the season most of us did not expect to be competing for top 4. Finishing 5th would have been considered a very decent first season. So is nice to find ourselves in a position where any result other than a loss puts us in the top 4.

July 23, 20205 yr Don't like this 'Draw is enough mentality' We must, must go all out for a win and keep going and not sit back, if we do we all know what will happen. And please let us start with Pulisic.

I rather see Dave on the left & James on the right. Also we need Captain America on the left. Lo Siento Pedro.
July 23, 20205 yr Last game we needed to go with a conventional 4 at the back however against Wolves we need to play 3 at the back. We annihilated them with the 3-4-3 at Molineux & they didnt have any answer to Arsenal either when they adopted the same system against them. However we will need to make a few changes to the lineup: Willy Azpi- Zouma- Rudi James Alonso Kova- Kante/Mount (Depending on Kante's fitness) Willian Pulisic Giroud
July 23, 20205 yr Stick with the 3 at the back I think, but please, just play Pulisic over Mount this time... Also, it might be best to play CHO over Willian.
July 23, 20205 yr In order to get a draw we need to score 2-3 goals just to be safe lol I don't really care who plays, the result is the most important but if somehow we shoot ourselves in the foot by our own gameplan there will be only 1 person to blame.
July 23, 20205 yr Sad fact is this team is not equipped to play for a grind out draw. It's built to outscore....and only going for the win brings results with these squads. Let's hope the lads have their finishing boots on.
July 23, 20205 yr TBH I don't think Wolves will have any advantage due to a longer break. We played Arsenal having had over a weeks break and got well gubbed. We've quite settled into the Thursday-Sunday routine so for me I'd wish we played Wednesday or Thursday. We had a slow start to the season and Willy Boly was missing for the hiding you handed out to us at Molineux in September. We are very solid at the back and despite the plaudits over Jimenez and Traore I see our defence as our main strength. Chelsea are potent going forward but like Man City, Man Utd and indeed Liverpool are suspect at the back, however I don't expect Nuno to go gung-ho on Sunday. I'd like to see a front three of Jota-Jimenez-Podence (watch out for him, likened to the new Hazard - yeah I know!) and bring Traore on around the 60th minute. We need to match or better Spurs result to guarantee EL in 6th. Well Spurs are going to thrash Palace which means we need a win. I'm not sure. However if we fail please promise to beat Arse in the FA Cup Final to guarantee us a EL qualifying place in 7th. Looking forward to the match - should be great!

Lets hope for a Spurs loss so you guys can get the 6th slot, hoping they are 3-0 down at HT so Nuno decides to give Traore the day off I shudder at the thought of Adama against a leggy Alonso

The wing backs of wolves will be matched with our own wing backs and the width from the formation comes from the wingbacks. CHO can be an impact sub along with abraham if our starters get tired Press against a counter attacking team who are happy for us to pass it ahead of their defence, & hit us on the break? How does this work when one of the front 3 is Mount whose stats against Liverpool was; - 0 Assists - 0 chances created - 0 key passes - 0 duels won - 0 shots on target - 1 big chance missed Wolves have the 4th best defence in the league; and would have had the best defence if Boly hadn’t missed 3mths with an injury. If Santo decides to start Podence & Traore on the wings against our back 3, it will be a long frustrating game if Willian & Mount are our outlets on the wing.

That was one of his worst performances, he probably won't play like that twice in a row...

July 23, 20205 yr I will say this now. Come what may I hope Leicester beat United. They have been top 4 all season basically and been bang unlucky with key injuries. I hope they beat United, they deserve it. Then is down to us to earn our spot, not be handed it.

Too right - has happened time and again. You only need to look at that 5th dippers goal last night - Jorginho absolutely taken to the cleaners and we can't afford such weakness against Wolves. That said, we will still have the defence and keeper to fret about!!
July 23, 20205 yr You'll beat Wolves and we'll lose at Leicester. I can see it in the tea leaves. Tell you what, the way things are going, they'll have carted me off to the knacker's yard long before we get a sniff at the league title again. Vardy will torment our defence and unless McTominay and Fred start as a double pivot, it does not bode well.

That was a terrible performance from Mount and i am sure Willian also had bad numbers due to the fatigue accumulated of all the games in this congested season without breaks. Remember We have playing 2 games a week since the resumption due to our participation in the Fa cup. It hasnt helped that our 2 fa cup fixtures were against Man u and leiciester and hence lamps hasnt really had a chance to rest players. I already said that lampard f**ked up by not rotating against liverpool because the reason Abraham and CHO changed the game against liverpool isnt because they are better than Giroud and Willian but they were fresher having not started against Man u. I have faith in MASON and i doubt he will have back to back stinkers. The million dollar question is which of Mount and Willian will be on the bench because Captain America has to start on sunday
July 23, 20205 yr I could go with gk reece Dave Zouma, Rudigier alonso jorginho kova cho Abraham pulisic or gk reece zouma Rudigier dave kova Jorginho mount cho Abraham pulisic i think cho showed enough to start I think Willian is tired and even alonso looked tired I worry Kovacic doesn’t have 3 big games in a week in him, he’s rarely a 90 minute player the betting odds make us favourites and a goal is priceless but not conceding an early goal and playing with self belief is key this game will be won in our heads or not at all

They are missing their creator and 3 of their back 4. Against Martial, Greenwood and the ever deadly Rashford it will be a long one. Plus you know in such an important game Harry will score against his old side. I mean I hope you are right of course, means we get top 4. Wolves are far better placed to give us a harder time than Leicester are with you.
