Let him go tear it up in Germany and realize what a player we truly have. Indeed. Cannot say I understand TT on this one. Both Reece and Dave are head of him at wingback, as are Alonso and Chilwell. Pulisic might be too, and definitely is as an attacker, as callum is clear sixth choice. Baka is gone. 2 year loan, small loan fee, full wages covered, buy option which becomes obligation if unnamed conditions met. https://weaintgotnohistory.sbnation.com/chelsea-fc-transfer-rumours-news/2021/8/30/22639025/official-ac-milan-sign-tiemoue-bakayoko-on-two-year-loan-from-chelsea
August 30, 20214 yr Author Baka to Milan on a two year loan with option to make it permanent at the end, and somehow we will make 20Mill out of this deal?
August 30, 20214 yr We’re going to have made a tidy profit this summer. Yet we still get lumped in with Utd and city when talk turns to spending!

August 30, 20214 yr Tino Anjorin to Lokamotiv set to be confirmed soon for 10mill euros with buy back.
August 31, 20214 yr massive clearout this season - looked difficult a few weeks back. But good to see players moving on who dont have a future here.. DD was the one which i thought we will struggle with the most. Now i think we are just left with Ross and a few youngsters like Ampadu/CHO or RLC too.

August 31, 20214 yr Late late hope for Barkley: LATE MOVE FOR BARKLEY? Burnley have made a move to sign Ross Barkley on loan, report The Sun. Barkley hasn't featured so far for Chelsea this season and looks set to fall down the pecking order further with the arrival of Saul Niguez.
August 31, 20214 yr It wouldn’t be end of the world if he stayed. I mean he can play the carabao games I suppose.
August 31, 20214 yr I would prefer that we kept RLC over Barkley. See if TT can unleash his potential over the season.
August 31, 20214 yr I think Barkley is the better prospect to keep, he has been a game changer in the past for us, RLC very rarely.

August 16, 20223 yr Let's dig this old thread up as it's still relevant LOL. I reckon there are probably still at least a dozen players who are either surplus to Tuchel's requirements, or who he'd like to replace with someone better : Kepa Alonso Ampadu Emerson Rahman Kenedy Gilmour Barkley Pulisic Ziyech Hudson-Odoi Batshuayi I wonder how many we'll be able to shift before this latest window slams shut ?

January 9, 20233 yr Alright, January comes and with it the opportunity to clear out the squad yet again of all our deadwood or at least make proper planning for the summer window. I'll start: OUT: I have listed 13 players currently available from our team (from a total of 28 listed in the official website). This is abysmal and it shows how much work there is to be done and that money won't solve by itself. I don't think we'll suffer much if we stop playing 10 of them already this season. They're all not good enough or don't care, so we won't be losing much anyway in terms of performance. GK Kepa/Mendy/Bettinelli: Thanks for their services, Mendy in particular had a great run and was essential for our CL triumph, but the club won't be going much further relying on any of them. Slonina needs time to be fully ready so we'll probably be counting on one of Kepa/Mendy for now though. Defenders Azpi: Done everything he could to the club and deserves to leave on a high note which is now looking impossible to do so as the weeks go by. Is one of the few that cares about the club and the game itself. KK: May yet improve, but he's 31 and hasn't show anything yet to prove he's the right man to steer our youngsters and be a role model (tactically) for them. I'd take any 10m+ offer right now. (On loan: Sarr / Ampadu / Baba Rahman) Midfield Jorginho: Clearly his time with the club's finished. Was essential for the transition from Conte until Tuchel but now is completely holding us back. 4 years in and still doesn't have a great rapport with the overall fanbase and is always having to prove himself. Crazy that in by doing so we'll be losing our most FIT midfielder. RLC: Is there anything else to say about him? Can't play enough games and when he does is always the same except from 1 match in 10 where he impresses the world just to get injured the next one. Gallagher (or Mount if he doesn't renew at decent wages): It seems Potter doesn't rely on Connor at all but he's still young and may fetch a decent money from Palace or any mid-table side. He and Mason are both very similar as squad players and care for the club so I'd like for at least one of them to stay though. (On loan: Eternal Baka / Anjorin) Attack Sterling: Overrated, overplayed, overpaid... you name it. He's not a bad player, but is essentially a final piece of the puzzle for a good stablished system and a side looking to win silverware. We are not that presently so just ship him off to another side, question is... which club will pay those absurd wages and even want him at this point? Spuds? Auba: Enough said. Ziyech: Enough said pt. 2. Pulisic: Won't ever be able to lead the squad to anything greater than a 4th place run for several reasons, main one being he can't play more than 3 games in a row. Can't keep fit and already lost some pace. Guy lost his balls during WC and managed to play, came back and got injured within minutes. It's just not working for him here, should go to Serie A to prolong his career imo. Havertz: Quickly becoming detached from the club, shushing his own supporters after scoring following several lacklustre performances. Is becoming increasingly frustrated as the games go by as well. I'd only keep him if we're planning on making him a 10 or an 8. As a striker it's obviously not going anywhere for him and for us. (On loan: Lukaku)

I still have hopes for Sterling and Havertz though, if we could just somehow find the right striker they could play around. I'm also growing a bit weary of Kovacic, seems to be constantly catching up on his fitness This rebuild will take a loooong time...
January 9, 20233 yr It feels like we have this conversation every season and end up keeping players that should have been sold/let go. Keeping Azpi was a bad decision for example when we had an opportunity to let him go. The club needs to be more ruthless.
January 9, 20233 yr I'd say Kepa (Mendy has had rough patches but has overall been better, don't mind having them both though) Ziyech (Maybe would be better out wide like with Morocco but zero workrate, doesn't want to be here and in his 30's) Pulisic (Again good for his country, but very injury prone and has been poor under 3 managers for us now, still young so could get a fee for him) Havertz (Hasn't really improved at all since he came here, maybe would be better as a CAM but as a striker he's been poor, living off the CL final goal) Koulibaly (Don't think we can get rid unfortunately cause of his contract length + age, maybe use him as back up for Colwill) Azpi (Club legend and not awful as a cover player but I'd rather we gave the back up RB spot to one of our younger players) Jorginho (Extremely underrated player by some but is starting to look even slower now, I wouldn't extend his contract by more than a year) Kante (All time Chelsea great, but ravaged by injuries, not sure we'll see his top level again and is our highest earner, let go unless he finds his form back) RLC (Not awful as a back up CM, especially under Tuchel, but injury prone and would be better to develop younger CMs, open to him staying though) Mount (This is only if he keeps up his demand for 300k p/w, he's not worth that much) Auba (Not much needs to be said here) I don't even know who's still out on loan anymore, but anyone over the age of 24 out on loan should be sold, our loans should be reserved for younger players gaining experience only.
January 9, 20233 yr The question is who's willing to sign them? They all seem to be on big contracts earning money which mosts clubs wouldn't pay.

The club should put Ziyech, Pulisic, Jorginho, Aubameyang and Gemma Collins in the Octagon. No holds barred. Last one standing stays. My moneys on Gemma.
