It certainly looked a foul from the angle I saw it on the stream though never saw it from a better angle. My impression was that Kovacic was caught napping, lost the ball and went over after minimal contact (if any) hoping to get a foul. They're usually given.

I don't think it was a foul, but the consensus after the Liverpool game was that if you brush a player even lightly after playing the ball first, and the player then takes two steps before falling over, then a foul should be awarded. Or does that only apply at Anfield?
August 9, 20205 yr Well it is here at 1.25 and if I am right Muller does not kick the ball, just bull-dozes in knocking over Kovacic who in stumbling knocks the ball back aimlessly towards defense. I can't see Muller actually kick the ball. Of course only a partial view yet a foul for me.

Or does that only apply at Anfield? Oh come on, that's not fair. It's not about Anfield, it's about the colour of the shirts (Liverpool, Manure, Arse and Bayern all red). Ironic though that it was Kovacic in all those situations and every single one went against us. I'm sad to say it, but maybe he should just be more theatrical? A lot less bothered by the result yesterday than the FA cup final. Every time our backline is confronted with world class opposition we basically start the match at 0:3. It's baffling really. August 14, 20205 yr Question i Ask me sen if cfc had beat Bayern via hook line or sinker over two games , would that lads have beaten that sh*te Barca performance tonight ,if only eh eh eh

August 15, 20205 yr lets forget Barca, Bayern got good players and they are doing well. Other teams should get good players, they too will be doing well. we the fans deserve to see our team play the way Bayern are playing at the moment. let our teams buy good players the way Bayern got good players. we want to be seeing our team winning football matches too.
August 15, 20205 yr Bayern have not been in a CL final for six years and when I look at some of their stars like Lewandowski and Muller aged 31 and 30 I think they are approaching the twilight of of their years. So perhaps another 2 years at the top of the Euro elite and then they will need to find new stars. That assumes of course another force does not come forward next year.

Kouassi (18) Zirkzee (19) Davies (19) Sane (24) Sule (24) Hernandez (24) Pavard (24) Coman (24) Gnabry (25) Kimmich (25) Goretzka (25) They will be ok.

I'm sure they will be ok, yet is ok good enough for Bayern, think they will find Lewandowski and Muller hard to replace.

Any top strikers Germany produces in the future Bayern basically has an automatic say in signing, if they want a top German player they will more often than not get them.

I think coaching, tactics and work ethic also have something to do with it

I'm not sure how you reach that conclusion when they are also chock full of fantastic kids. What the great clubs do is buy the replacements for these two players off the radar and cheap and then develop them in amongst the established side. Not throw something like 6 kids in at one go

Not throw something like 6 kids in at one go Well it has taken them 6 years since beating Dortmund and they played in two of the previous three finals, one against us. I thought they had good players before yet they had to rebuild. The kids might continue to deliver yet it will be interesting to see if they do or Bayern make a move for another clubs burgeoning superstars.

Bayern will always try to take the best players in the Bundesliga. It's a proven business model of theirs
August 16, 20205 yr Bayern are just very cohesive as a unit right now, the same as Liverpool. I can't see them like this over the next few years, especially with Lewandowski not getting any younger.

I would expect them to be a force next season though beyond that depends on the acquisitions they get and how quickly they can gel with the squad and manager. They have an excellence chance this season.
August 17, 20205 yr They started with Kovac at helm and massively underperformed. Sacked him and replaced him with Joachim Low's right hand man. Flick's Bayern have been the best team in Europe since. They have an excellent squad and most their key players have played together for ages.Flick is only tested next season I think. New kind of pressure. If he wins the treble this season it will be a different kind of task to replicate the success in the next.Anyway they are still one of the major clubs in the world as they have been for 20-30 years.
