To think that we all laughed at Olle Gunnar at one point...

Many points, and many more points to come.

Mourinho gone for 5 defenders against Sheffield. Get ready for a 1-0 master class!

Well you’re prediction is spot on so far - with one of those 5 defenders getting the goal :laugh2:

Spurs 2 up their  counter attacking is devastating looking at them they look like a well drilled team each player knowing there role

Henderson and Fabinho at centre back? Guardiola eat your heart out!

That's a mental lineup from Klopp - out of context that's four attackers, four centre mids and the two most attacking full-backs in the league.

Yet somehow the game will be a snoozefest... looking forward to seeing how that comes about exactly.

Really unsure who I want to win.

Liverpool win, put United back in their place. United win, ends Liverpool home record.

Edging towards United slightly, don’t want our home record to be broken.

United. Liverpool are catching our unbeaten home record, this would be the perfect time for that run to end.

Definitely Utd for me, there’s only a couple or so teams capable of winning at Liverpool, Utd are one of them.

Our record is in danger if City, Utd or us don’t win there this season.

We should of gone for Thiago if we wanted possession based football

To be fair we did, and his agent quoted us astronomical wages as he only wanted to go to Liverpool.

Fair enough guess he wanted to win trophies as he’s not getting younger

If you want to understand why we struggle so much, just watch this game now. Liverpool are constantly moving, when they don't see space to play through, they don't turn around and play it back to defense, their players will run at the opposition and wait for a gap to appear. Their full backs and wingers are constantly running at players when they have the ball or they are moving all over and waiting for the midfielders to play the pass.

Liverpool don't let up, whereas we just play way too slow and way too safe. We'll never start competing again until this mindset changes.

I feel like Lamps has been burned by our poor defence last season so he wants possession at a big cost, but the fact that we have upgraded our defence and keeper means that we should be able to play like last season without worrying as much. We've gone 2 steps back from attacking football unnecessarily and the one time he tries something different it's suicide football against City, everything is either too much or too little at the moment.

What you want to see is how difficult to get the ball off mane and salah.

Alongside the teams movement Liverpools front 3 have pace and strength, its so difficult for defenders to bully them off the ball even when they have their back to goal.

Our front line either have strength or mobility, this season I've hardly seen any of our front 3 receive the ball with their back to goal and actually physically keep a defender off and turn them.

This, we had Willian and hazard who could do that now we have Werner and puli who both are absolute turnover machine. Imagine if we played the same as Liverpool does, we will be countered mercilessly.

Even when we were more open last season, I didn't think our attacking game was anywhere near as good as the Liverpool's and City's though. It was still too slow and safe at times. The only one that didn't play safe was Pulisic and that is where pretty much all of the good stuff came from. There just doesn't seem to be a lot of belief and courage in the group we have, whether that is down to poor coaching or the players themselves is anybodys guess.

Why, when we've got Jorginho?

One thing about Liverpool's game I wouldn't want us to copy is their high line. It's asking for trouble. The only reason why United haven't got in is because Rashford and Martial are terrible at trying to stay onside.
