Or it could be that we are f**king awful at the moment? If you can use Liverpool as an example to give Frank the benefit of the doubt, then surely you can use this game as an example.

A lot of City fans have said Stamford Bridge was their best performance of the season, I’m not saying we weren’t sh*t but our defence is miles better than Man United and City still torn us apart.

If they played like they did against us, they would have ripped United a new one. Guardiola’s reaction at half time says it all really.

This guy has surprised me we should have moved for him

He was one of the players that I had as a potential new CB signing for the long term, sadly after T.Silva we will still need to find a long term signing for that spot:

LB: Lodi (Atletico Madrid), Grimaldo (SL Benfica), Guerrerio (Borrusia Dortmund), Chilwell (Leicester City)

CB: Romagnoli (AC Milan), Mancini (AS Roma)Dias (SL Benfica), Umtiti (FC Barcelona)

CMÑíguez/Saúl (Atletico Madrid), Neves (Wolverhampton Wanderers F.C.), Kessie (AC Milan), Milinkovic-Savic (SS Lazio)

AM: Rebić (AC Milan), Havertz (Bayer 04 Leverkusen)

W: Sancho (Borussia Dortmund)

F: Depay (Olympique Lyonnais), Werner (RB Leipzig), Martínez (Inter Milan), Belotti (Torino FC), Barbosa (Clube de Regatas do Flamengo), Jović (Real Madrid)

Sign 1 from each position and we're good.

From this list we did get Chilwell, Havertz and Werner, we just need to get the proper CM, CB and if Pulisic/Ziyech keep getting injured, the hottest winger currently: BAMBA :good2:

So maybe, just maybe City are hitting form and us being torn apart by them after they had a rest we didnt doesnt prove we are the worst team ever and Frank is the worst manager ever?

You know how I feel about well-balanced opinions @dkw

Both City's goals came from corners rather than open play.

This is the 7th semi-final OGS has failed to win as a manager.

John Stones rejuvenation seems to tie in with the rise of Reuben Dias.

Fernandinho was back to form too.

City now look to be the main challengers for the league move over Jose and Brenden, City and Pep are back.

I was impressed with Utd during the first half, felt they matched City pretty well.

Missed the 2nd have only seen the goals.

I thought that had a lot to do with our game and how they had time to plan for KDB playing in that advanced role whereas it took us completely by surprise. United had the CB's track KDB deep with one of the CDM's slotting into the backline when that happened whereas I think City in the 2nd half just went up a gear and moved the ball faster to exploit the United defensive transition & in the end were lucky to only lose 2-0.

So the Arsenal kid that VAR saved from a red card sends them through in the cup. Lucky man thar Arteta. If only Frank could get some of that luck, or better yet, some of Oles

An incredible decision. Studs up to knee level and no red. There was no intention to harm, ok, but if he catches the newcastle player it could be a leg breaker. The worst part is that if Steve Bruce complains about it, he gets banned for a few games.

Didn't look dangerous at all that tackle to be fair. From the angles VAR showed yellow was more than fair. Without VAR the game would have been potentially stolen from Arsenal. Would have liked to see Newcastle win.

That would be a shame, they certainly would not want that to happen. Imagine if that happened to them against a london rival in 2 separate finals with the same bent ref.

Well, studs up at knee level is dangerous. He didn’t get the player but he hastened to it and was just cms away. Very dangerous play, if you ask me.

Red would be extremely harsh from this. Not studs toward his leg but side of his foot.

Have to disagree there is right at his shin and is millimeters away from a bad injury.

Have to disagree. Maybe not knee level, but right to the shin and studs showing.

I agree with Evissy on this one, that was never a red card. If he catches him in the shin with his studs, then yeah, it's a red, but he catches him with the side of his foot, no studs make contact. It's a trip at most on the Newcastle player, and nowhere near enough contact for him to go to the ground screaming like that.
