Don't determine his position based on the graphics its usually just guess work from the broadcasters.

I think the WBs will provide the width and havertz will be more central

3 at the back, interesting, I'm surprised Mount isn't playing, this is the one game I definitely would've expected him to play. 

3 at the back....against a counter attacking team? But I like the selections, I’m just not sure I like the idea of 3 at the back bring out go to for big games, it’s had mixed results in the past.

Maybe as a temporary way to get points in key games but we should be able to play our football, have the players understand it and impose ourselves, we have the personnel, think Franks being cautious, I’m hoping it’s to sit back and don’t let them just sit back and counter.
 

I worry about battles in the middle of the pitch though. 

I'm not sure about the back 3 but he definitely needed to go into this game with a different approach compared to Sevilla. 

I thought he would've went for Kovacic in a midfield 3, let's see how this plays out. It's going to be a very hard game regardless, we don't get much luck at Old Trafford. 

Happy with that line up although I would have preferred to see Kovacic over Jorginho.

As I said earlier in thread, not a must-win game but really don't want to lose this. Lamps needs to improve his record against the "Top Six" and although we weren't expected to get a result v Liverpool, we can't afford a bad result v united.

I would play 3- 5- 2 using the WB’s for width,  3 in the middle with Kai advanced and Pulisic and Timo playing off each other through the middle but in free roles 

Not feeling good about this selection. Hopefully they prove me wrong

Reece James will be providing the width on the right, that’s the point of wing backs. I think Havertz will be and Pulisic could be given license to operate where they want off of Werner.

Saying it's a MUST WIN game is just completely naive, we haven't won at Old Trafford since 2013, we have 2 wins there in 10 years. And if there's anything Ole is good at, is beating top sides, particularly when his side has less possession. 

I'm not confident on winning this game at all, that's why I would be very happy with a point. 

Puzzling team selection leaving Kovacic on the bench IMO; Jorghino and Kante will get overrun in the middle.  I hope if Frank sees that we are being killed in the middle he will make an early change, player or otherwise rather than wait for the 80th min.

Or its 5-4-1 with everyone defending for 90 minutes and trying to steal one through Werner. 

I'm feeling an incoming Lampard masterclass tbh although I usually feel that whenever I'm slightly baffled by a teamsheet. 

I actually wanted a back 3 lineup that was my first suggestion, but I'm surprised that Kovacic is again on the bench. At the same time happy to see Havertz in the starting lineup.

For those us not feeling confident United have a front 3 of James, Rashford and Mata alongside a CB pairing of Lindelof and Maguire.

If united are gonna sit back and give us possession then Mount is not as valuable..I see what Frank's thinking. 

The constant line up and formation changes make it feel like Frank doesn't have a clear vision for the team. 

I prefer to have a consistent shape to the team. Frank needs to start settling on a preferred formation and starting XI.

Rashford always scores against us though.  

No Callum in the team is surprising. 3-4-3; I would’ve liked to see Ziyech and pulisic from the start In this formation. Not quite fully match fit, I guess?
