Sorry to say but how the f**k did he get sent off for this? That is way too harsh on Rennes. Wasn't even a penalty IMO but giving a second yellow feels completely over the top for me.

 

We should have got the free kick for the foul on Mount before the penalty incident even happened !

What a sh*t decision.

I won't complain too much though, we get the short end of the stick far too often.

It has nothing to do with VAR being terrible or a sh*t ref. It’s the absurd new handball rules (particularly in European competitions). It needs corrected because they can’t be giving pens for that and certainly not booking players for it.

 

First peno was clear as day this was a massive mistake by the ref. 

If you look at that situation as a ref why does it even take time to make a decision? Shouldn't there be principles on these... Weird. 

Our pretty much unanimous contempt for that decision shows exactly why I'm part of this forum. Pretty much always a very balanced, honest point of view. 

What an absolute joke of a decision. Whilst it is great for us, it’s not great for football. How on Earth is he supposed to stop that hitting him arm? Sent off for that. Unreal. 
 

Get our players on a yellow card subbed  off ASAP. This referee is a complete liability.

I feel kinda cheated winning like this because deep down you know it's wrong some will say take it which I understand but if you are on the end of these decisions it's infuriating 

Mount is a good player but Havertz he is not.

Too true, seems to happen to us all the time. Especially when Anthony Taylor is involved

There is a lack of chemistry between midfield and attack right now. The difference between today and the weekend is huge.

Totally agree mate, I still think it’s harsh as he’s blocked it with his leg and it’s went up his body to his arm, but these handball rules are ridiculous but there’s no point blaming the ref or VAR because of the rules.

Frank could make some early subs and rest a few player now at least, especially with 5 subs available. 

Krasnodar are beating Sevilla with the latter down to 10 men which is also good news for us.

Well pretty naff half that despite the 2 goal lead....we sure weren't the better team.

Like everyone else I think it was way too harsh but that didn't stop me slapping my leg in celebration and laughing loud enough to make the missus sh*t herself

poor decision ruined the game for me.. but i think this 2 man midfield base with Jorginho and Kante doesnt work.. our press is half hearted.. at most times Kante and Jorginho are caught in between .. while in possession it again restricts are options.. would like to see a 433 second half with kova in for Jorgi.

Not justified mate, 2 penalties and one of them was really harsh

Make all the subs as early as possible please, we need our key players rested, no way Rennes are getting back into this game.
