Bloody well not be Taylor in the final again!

They won't dare after that performance last year...besides there must new refs that haven't had the chance yet

He's not Pirlo but he's passing the ball really well, his pass to Mount let to Werner which assisted to Ziyech as well and he found Mount in other occasions as well.

Gol, I don't want to appear churlish after such a great result but Dave, Rudiger, James and Chilwel all hit more long, forward balls than Jorginho today!

Why can he not be more adventurous with his passing?  I stress again, passing is what defines him as a player. Why can't he turn defending into attack with a sweep of his foot? Is it lack of ability?  Lack of vision? Lack of self-belief? It is why there will always a question mark against him, his passing is too one dimensional. It is not expansive enough.

The same people regularly jump on Kante when he mis-places a pass or two and completely miss the fact that passing is not his forte, it is not what defines him as player. Winning the ball, closing down opponents and carrying the ball at pace to transition defence to attack is his forte and he rarely fails. In fact he is still one of the best there is at those skills.

@Munkworth my silly little bet didn't seem to affect our "juju" tonight can I bet on the CL with the 4.90 I've got on paddy power or do o still have to stick to rule number 1?

Sure, you’re free to bet on PSG vs City all you want.

Must admit with the team TT selected I thought we were in for a battering, but I guess the 8 changes for City helped us more than it did them. Thought City were pretty toothless apart from the last 15 mins and even Kepa wasn't bothered with anything too difficult.  I thought everyone had a decent game, and although Ziyech got MOTM I would have gone for either Tiago or Rudi who were both immense.  Gives us good momentum going into the final run in, and given today's and last nights EPL results Tuesdays game against Brighton becomes just as important as todays.

Disguising, he should have been off and finished the game only with yellow card. Made three critical fouls.

Mount is a good boy, if he was stepping like this on Rudiger or Zouma, I'm pretty sure he was receiving something from there.

All the players have put a sacrifice performance, real warriors on the pitch to keep that lead.

In the second half I can say we were outplayed by possession but the players didn't leave the tactical discipline, every player kept his position and defensively we were fantastic.

Very proud of this team, even when I believe some players should perform better, but overall all I have is to enjoy.

On the road to the final, COME ON CHELS!!!

Second half we dominated possessionfor as lonas we needed to. It was around 65% to us before we started to sit back around 70 minutes.

Even after conceding possession, City didnt create anything, and the last 10 minutes were mostly them probing from the half way line.

Tuchel had Guardiola play his game, which is very rare.

They really should try and play Werner 'in', a hell of a lot more than they do, he properly worries back 4s, with his pace and movement, he may not be our best striker, but he's our best wide player..

It was the same with Torres and Morata, both had pace and made runs behind but the ball hardly ever arrived making them the scapegoats most of the time....mind you both were like Werner and found even a barn door hard to hit at times

I just think Jorginho is a pessimistic player, I did see a few times where he turned down a ball over the top to play it safe and keep possession. Mikel played the position very similar. It is frustrating at times, but as long as Jorginho is being dogged, and disciplined off the ball, and helping us progress the ball out of defence and recycle possession, then i am happy, especially in the big games where we arent looking to break down 10 man behind the ball.

I thought Jorginho and Kante were fantastic again.

To be fair to Werner, his assists are really really good though, he's won us a few games with his wide play

That is literally what he did for our goal.

Jorginho was sublime again today. Bar WBA he's been excellent under Tuchel and deserves a lot of praise in my opinion.

Lampard's tactics were the "perfect" way to expose his weaknesses but Tuchel is getting the very best out of him.

Maybe he should be converted to a left winger.

He doesn't need to pass like James if he can find Mount going into the final third, its' all about progressive passes and Jorginho is good at that and that led to our winning goal today, he has been doing that for 3 seasons now. He can switch to the opposite flank and keep possession going, he has done his role today as a standard of the previous seasons, I don't see Rodri, Gundogan and others constantly passing the long ball either.

Jorginho had just a few long balls today with mixed success but he had 10 duels won and a good amount of recoveries so this myth that he can only do a 5 yard pass and nothing else is just blatant disrespect, this isn't the first time he had a good game vs Man City either. He's quality and he has done well in some of the biggest games, every team needs someone like him that can pass the ball around and keep possession and he's doing his role regardless if it's with Kante or Kovacic.
