The funny thing is. Inzaghi also plays a more possesion based brand of football (compared to Conte) and i imagine won't micromanage him and his diet like his predecessor did.

This incredible love of Inter, and yet he was prepared to leave there a year ago. It’s almost as if he would go absolutely anywhere if there was enough money on the table for him. But equally, if where ever he ended up for the money, if anyone weirdly expected some effort from him he’d have a hissy fit and run away. He is the absolute embodiment of all that is wrong with this obscene cesspit that is modern football.

We spend so much time and effort physically and emotionally cheering for these people, yet in all honesty we’d be better cheering for the CEO of a multinational as they probably care more about their work than 99% of footballers do.

The one thing I can give Lukaku is he isn't in it for the money (we'd be stuck with him if he was).

It's always been about where he doesn't have to fight for a starting place. He left us because he didn't have the stomach to fight with Costa, left United because Ole came in and didn't see him as an automatic starter like Jose did and it's no coincidence that interview happened after he started seeing the bench a bit.

Can’t argue with that @Argo, but money is really not far behind for him. He wants money and acolades without having to do anything other than turn up.

But as much as I dislike him, the pillocks running the show at the Bridge deserve just as much contempt for signing him.
