Not surprised Klopp gave gerrard a hug. Thanks for making that so easy

Predictable. Villa do enough so no one carry point out the cheating there but they make sure pool win.

hmm - not sure what to make of that. were Liverpool starting to look a little jaded tonight? maybe I'm just after some crumb of comfort for Saturday - we're most probably going to get spanked.

Am sure you all know how tribalistic football fans are, and Liverpool fans are by far the worst of them.

So bare in mind the today was the first of 4 meetings between either Pool or City vs teams with key boyhood born and raised people.

Tomorrow is the second. Connor Coady, who looks decent to great against most sides always makes mistakes against Pool, and that is game 4. His Wolves however will be a lot better against City tomorrow, then there is a much more motivated and focused Gerrard Villa to face City on last game day.

Still reckon that is key and will help Pool win the title.

I have never been a fan of possession based football, it's the reason why I hated watching Spain and Barcelona when they were dominating. It's just so boring to watch. It's even worse when watching us do it because there are no positive outcomes from it. There is nothing worse than watching your team have possession for the sake of it, only for opposition to play through you with two or three passes, swing a cross in and score a goal.

Lol you must really hate Sarriball

From 8th to 4th is a good job, especially AGAIN - no one gave them a prayer to get there this season.

No one gave us a prayer in Lampards first season yet IIRC from your account elsewhere you still played down the job he did (that season). And Lampard had a transfer ban and lost his gamechanger while Arteta was last summers big spender. Go figure (and this is coming from someone who wanted Lampard out at the end).

We use to laugh at Wenger for finishing 4th with the likes of Bentdner, Djourou, Almunia. Emery got ridiculed after just falling short of UCL finalists and a Hazard inspired Chelsea with Mustafi, Xhaka, Kolasanic, Bellerin etc. Yet Arteta is suppose to be a genius for equalling/slightly bettering those efforts with the supposed best young squad in world football.

Oh and Emery got to a UCL semi final with a squad that cost less than Ben White (giving a manager that Arteta constantly rolls over too a huge scare in the process) yet we're suppose to believe Arteta is doing a 'great' job by merely qualifying for that same competition.

You make a good point.

After yesterday's match one of the first things the Sky Sports reporter asked Gerrard was about doing Liverpool a favour in the last match of the season against City.

The narrative is all about ways Liverpool could be helped to winning the title, you get the feeling a least one of them will come true.

The media are gonna w**k over this, I hope they remember how many years Lamps and Gerrard were consistently great players and goalscorers, he’s good….but

City showing what we should have done to Wolves. They are a mess and we gifted them a point.

I clearly over estimated them based on them coming back to draw with us, something that at the Bridge is not even an achievement any more.

No they won't ... he's no Jordan Henderson after all !

Why what have you heard?

Lampard:  "Easily the best fans I've played or managed in front off.  At Chelsea and City it almost felt like I was just trying to make someone enjoy their day out.  Everton fans live and breathe their club, it's important to their life not their Instagram"

Gotta know your audience, bit like how Joe Cole had to keep putting over Liverpools history.
