December 23, 20214 yr Did Jordi Alba get any punishment after that. Pisses me off that he purposely knocks into Kounde twice with his shoulder with no attempt to win the ball. He then goes down like a ton of sh*t when a ball glances off his shoulder and face.

Don't be silly, he plays for Barca and Spain.

January 1, 20224 yr Ithink we need Kounde,Tchouameni or equivalents and a left back. Sevilla are in a strong position in La Liga. Won’t be keen sellers.

No wonder City are streets ahead. We just announced an annual loss of £153m ... Roman has just bought another huge yacht and is no doubt also looking for an expensive villa in Portugal to accompany his new citizenship. Maybe the money, or the willingness, just isn't there to splash another £100m on player signings ? He pays enough on Directors that it is fair to expect them to run the club profitably and for the club to be self-sustaining ...

Probably because it isn't as straightforward as we think, especially in January, when nothing much happens compared to the summer window. Which club would cough up the multimillion tranfer fee and salary for Werner now, and would he agree to such a transfer? And that's just 2 question marks in a complicated business, where all parties concerned have different strategies for the short and long term.
January 2, 20224 yr It will be interesting to see how the club do moving forward finance wise. Our model is based on selling players. Given the current market, selling players is difficult given that teams are broke or struggling.

No wonder City are streets ahead. Roman has also contributed to the super inflation of player's prices. As recent as in 2012, 80m transfers are incredibly rare. We recorded a loss and it's clear our direction is to be a sustainable club with the odd injection. City is playing with one of the richest nation's GDP at their disposal. Real tough to compare them in an apple to apple manner

January 2, 20224 yr Arsenal spent over £100M in the summer, only selling Joe Willock. They have no champions league either. We have champions league and made over £100M in player sales in the summer.

Why sell one to buy a defender? So, very plausible? I always have a spare somewhere, sure, sort of like a false 9, to deploy when the original gameplan fails. I will miss Werner, such a decent fella.
