We’ve conceded the least amount of goals when he’s on the pitch compared to every other CB including Silva and I believe he had the best defensive metrics. Not to mention Disasi + Colwill was probably our best CB pairing.
July 22, 20241 yr So bad the way he’s been treated. Completely undeserved and lacks respect. Trev may not be “elite” or world class but I rate him higher than Badi, Disasi and an injured Fofana who are barely played in 2 years. We’re selling our own to buy average foreign players. Badi and Disasi haven’t shown anything above the ability of Trev. Just shows that it’s all about money. Money comes first, not winning.

Only 6 years before the owners can f**king can sell up and f**k off. Counting down the days. Or am I imagining that theres a clause in the buying contract saying they couldn't sell up before 8 seasons.

Had a few good games and then was terrible ever after.
July 22, 20241 yr I don’t get the badly treated part. No more than say Tammy Abraham. This is professional highly paid football. Lampard went off and joined Manc. He was never a nailed on starter, he makes good money, the club has been trying to move him for ages.

And he holds pretty good transfer value. He is a very steady player but for me not one we need to keep. Who out of these CB's will hold a place in the team? Chalobah had a better season than both Disasi and Badiashile, and he only played half a season. Fofana can't stay fit, and Tosin doesn't feel like an upgrade at all. Literally the only CB I rate higher is Colwill, but I am rating him on potential right now, he still needs to prove himself. Maybe if these idiots stopped buying sh*t footballers and tens of kids that will never get any substantial minutes for the club, we wouldn't need to sell solid squad players that continue to improve. 1 hour ago, SimonH said: That feels like a lifetime ago now. Looks good in a team looking to defend and somebody as good as Silva next to him, but he looks awful in an attacking team. He never looks switched on. 1 hour ago, ozboy said: I don’t get the badly treated part. No more than say Tammy Abraham. This is professional highly paid football. Lampard went off and joined Manc. July 23, 20241 yr sorry football was always emotional sport .. its clear the disregard they have for fans.. sell CG, TC, RJ, Hall, LC, Gilmour - who needs them when we have average brazilian and french to fill the squad since their cost can be amortised.

How after seeing the respective goodbye videos of Mount compared to Silva and Azpi are we still stuck with the idea that academy players always get it more? Many of them (including atleast two you've mentioned) grew up supporting another club and joined us because it was best for them, not because they love(d) us.

I agree with all of that but about tosin. I like him, no idea about his footballing skills but he showed class, leadership and in one vid he made sterling embarrassingly fall on his arse. Lol
July 23, 20241 yr It is pretty straight forward why we sell Chalo. Who is our sellable asset? Maatsen, sold Colwill, potential player so make no sense selling him now. Gallagher, sellable. Chalobah, sellable. kids. Edited July 23, 20241 yr by Bob stark
July 23, 20241 yr I am quite confused by some people who say that Colwill is our best cb. The key for Colwil is that he is only 21 with big room for improvement because last season he struggled against ground duel. Edited July 23, 20241 yr by Bob stark

I think potentially, Colwill IS our best CB and again, potentially, Colwill & Fofana could be a really good CB pairing IF they can both stay fit. Obviously both have suffered badly with injuries and Colwill was moved about way too much when he was played, but if fit, they would be my two starting CB's with Trev first back-up, but that looks unlikely now with Trev looking like he will be moved on and we'll be stuck with Disasi and Badiashille, neither of whom fill me with any sort of confidence and both prone to far many errors.

Colwil imo should be our 3rd CB and 2nd lb which is kinda his role last season. You will play tons of minutes in this role because you are a backup for 3 position. Once you see that he is ready then you can move him into starting lineup. Edited July 23, 20241 yr by Bob stark

Badiashile's stock is at an all time low after last season. Disasi has been the most consistent but also the most prone to errors and isn't ideal for a high line. Tosin comes in with a decent reputation based on last season but untested at a high level. It's pretty clear why many including myself have Colwill at number 1, especially at LCB. July 23, 20241 yr Real sad situation that seems to happens far for often than it should with the new board. Never was a big fan of Chalobah but he is a good player like Gallagher that never complains about his role and performs at a good enough level that he can be useful in a club with the ambition like Chelsea. Hope he finds a club where he is valued and plays week in and week out. Its Broja that we should be selling...
July 23, 20241 yr And to be honest, i can't say that i love any of our center backs, that really scares me for next season because we can only hope that Colwill and co gets better. Edited July 23, 20241 yr by DidierDrogbalala
July 23, 20241 yr Always going to be attached to any of the players who come from the Academy. I was always a Tomori fan and its awful to see West Ham are interested in him now (I hope he stays with AC Milan). Tomori was a smart kid. Chalobah is a good kid, local kid, but he is Jehovah witness and god they are miserable fcucks so i can see why we might want to sell him.
