However he holds the cards, he could easily decided to see out his last year and walk for free. Euros are the summer right? So even if they threat him with a lack of play time next season would not cost him his England hopes. Not unless they sack Poch.

Gallagher will deny moves so long as he knows the manager prefers him, as we’ve seen since January of last year. Poch gets sacked I think he’ll willfully leave this summer. You say ‘so what’ but we are talking about a year of no football where he could be starting at a club and earning much more money elsewhere.

If is Everton, Spurs and Burnley, for example, he may not want to go to these sides and be willing to sit out a year to get a Newcastle or Liverpool.

High energy for Postecoglu's style, gets in there. Better than Mctominay who somehow still gets minutes at Utd. Better than Mcginn and Tielemans at Villa. Rest of the teams below don't need mentioning.

As far as the big 6 goes think only Arsenal is where he’d start, and that is only in favor of Havertz.

Newcastle will be all over this is he is available, though that twitter sh*te can get to tuck, hes a clickbait bellend and anyone believing him needs to take a long hard look at themselves.
March 1, 20242 yr If we allow Gallagher to leave… what heart remains in this team will instantly have been ripped out. Chilwell is just a likeable guy, and often a liability. Reece…. Reece has to play, and even when he is playing he is the quiet, “I hope they follow my example” type. Gallagher is the man on this team players have to fear if they aren’t running, or giving their best effort. He is our only worthy Captain. Must stay.

March 2, 20242 yr “I am the coach, that needs to be my place,” he responded when asked about whether he would push to keep Conor Gallagher. “I cannot be involved in this. It’s only between the club and Conor that can make the deal. I know my place.” He was then pressed further on this he gave a “no comment.” “There is nothing to win for me [by replying]. What am I going to say? I am the head coach. My job is to coach the team and to pick the decisions for tomorrow, for the starting 11 and squad, and try to improve the players and try to win games. That is my job.” Pochettino, the yesman of the owners.
March 2, 20242 yr He was sh*t again. Proving once more that the deeper the plays, the worse he gets. sh*t passing, sh*t pressing, sh*t tackles and another yellow card. Gallagher needs to be involved further forward or not at all. It's the only way he can hurt teams and help us.

It's clear after Tommy got the boot that the board only wants Yes Men (probably a big reason why he got the boot) and that statement is clear evidence of it. He is frightened of what to say! I also noticed the other night against Leeds on the manager interviews when it switched between; Poch being labelled Head Coach and Farke as Manager! I bet that board gets more involved with things than we realise! Maybe, Poch is slightly fighting a losing battle to begin with!

March 3, 20242 yr I feel better now that I've read in hundreds of different ways how Gallagher is S**t... I'll hand it to the angry fans - it's seriously brilliant how you're able to rehash the same one idea multiple ways... bravo.
March 4, 20242 yr I was looking through injury history data the other day. Conor Gallagher hasn't missed a single game through injury in his career to date. Zero injuries. That is absolutely NAILS in the modern game. Must be the Irish in him LOL Availability to play is increasingly looking like a key attribute as much as any other skill.

Completely agree that corporatism is the devil, however there is little point in Poch ruffling feathers when he knows perfectly well that he won't be the manager next season. (Probably to his relief). Alternatively: "I absolutely f**king love the guy (as anyone with an ounce of sense or understanding of football does), but the dipsh*t money guys at the top need a free hit to make up for the appalling decisions they've made which got us into this mess in the first place, as well as the similiar ones we can almost be certain they will make in the near-immediate future."

Clearly doesn't fit in with the current culture and pattern of sitting in the sideline at least 6 weeks a season , must be sold for profit 😅 I think once the club is constantly offloading better players in the team for profits and buy cheaper in return, we are no different from a Southampton

Sadly was thinking the same. Not enough time on the injury list to be offered a new contract. Conor has received a fair amount of criticism from some posters, but currently the only potential replacements in our squad are either continually injured or lacking any first team experience.

He's really physical too. The other players don't seem to like the physical side of the game and maybe haven't built their bodies for it. I don't know to be honest, I'm just guessing at this point because I am desperate for us to get to the bottom of these injury issues. Edited March 8, 20242 yr by Scott Harris
March 12, 20242 yr I think he struggled to impose himself on the game, probably a result of him recovering from illness... Still a fairly solid performance, excellent assist for the Mudryk goal 😅
