Shipped out by Tuchel as he was in charge of transfers at the time, to get Cucarella in. I said at the time it was a bad move, I would much rather have kept Colwill at the club.

At this point, there is no way we get more than 40m for him. Letting him go would be a sign of incompetence at best, if not a sign of desperation.

I usually cringe at the Salah/KDB comparisons that some try to pull everytime we're linked with selling an U25 but it would be very apt here, infact it would probably be worse.

Nagelsmann will for sure utilize him ahead of Koulibaly. 

 

Badiashile/Colwill for the left and Fofana/Chalobah for the right. Silva for central if we play a back three and experience in a back 4 when needed. Sell Koulibaly and Cucurella and bring Maatsen back to support Chilwell at LB. This is simple planning.

Think we will see a scenario where either Badiashile or Colwill plays sweeper and the other LCB. 

Another reason why this squad is simply tailored for Nagelsmann. 

Will have 2 years left on his contract in the summer, prime time to sell if that is what the board decide to do.

City would be a certainty of medals for him, just look what it has done for Akes career there.

Club has always valued Colwill. It's why they never entertained an option to buy agreement with Brighton.

Brilliant player but still makes a lot of mistakes.

In order to become as good as he can get, he needs time to develop and I think he could get that in a club that has long term visions, like City or Liverpool.

Anything less than £50m and you're robbed though.

He started out primarily doing Calcio podcast and has moved into the Chelsea sphere last 6-7 years. He has connections to the club and many players in the league and at Chelsea. He has a pretty decent pod to listen to.
 

He tends to gas up our players, maybe a little too much at times, but he’s Chelsea, loves the club, etc. But he’s been on top of Colwill for 3 years now basically saying Chelsea cannot let this kid go, he’s the next Reece/Mason and might be better — that was a loose paraphrase, but essentially what he has said for a while now.

I hope we do just this, but the accounts will take a big hit if we sell them and maybe Lukaku - as we aren’t likely to get anything close to their remaining value. Not sure we can stomach that in terms of FFP

KK has been a real let down .. we were told he was as good as prime van dijk .. for years we chased him.. seems like we got mugged by the serie a again.

having said that I can’t think of any recent signings after Kante that has worked for us. The only one is Thiago I think rest have mostly bombed.

Hes a pitiful american who really has no knowledge on football and just likes to spout nonsense about any cobham prospect without even watching them play. He was pretty poor against Brighton though, but I do agree. I still think Colwill is better, especially on the ball and with his passing but as a pure defender then currently yes Badiashille is better.

choice is good though right? We need 2 players for each position anyway so they can both work. Colwill/Badiashille on the left and Fofana/Koulibaly on the right. I know its not Kouli's ideal position, but hes more capable playing there than the other 2 left footed cb's
