And Musaila, Lamptey and Tomori left under Lampard's, CHO within touching distance too, never saw close to the same energy here then.

The narrative Tuchel has agenda against youth falls down at the first sign of scrutiny. At the absolute least we are going to have 5 U23 academy graduates in the squad next season, how many clubs (especially ones with pressure to win) can match that?

The point was this was an opportunity for him to talk about the youngster his talent and not say he is yet to see him.. the guy was tearing up the championship by all accounts .. I would have no problem if he said yes we now want to put him to a sterner test instead of saying we don’t know him that well.

I think you're taking snippets of what Tuchel said and charge it with emotions.

Fact is, "yet to see him" can mean a lot of things. If he said Colwill needs a sterner test whilst nursing a tight groin, there'll be people who will say he doesn't know how to manage youth.

Gallagher played plenty of minutes and even took a penalty in preseason. That should at least prove Tuchel is very much looking forward to youth grads performing for us

Got to be the "boss" in defence yesterday with Chalobah & Sarr either side of him. Another encouraging sign in terms of Colwills chances with us this season in my opinion. Thought he did well too.

But he didn't play Sharman-Lowe.

Sarr is becoming a nuisance in all honesty. Can only play in one position and forced Cowlill to play sweeper.

The squad just feels an absolute mess right now.

All these transfer issues may be a blessing in disguise.  Did well yesterday, all things considered.  Would like to see him alongside Silva and Koulibaly.

It’s ridiculous he’s not taken any of the U9s with the squad if you ask me! If they’re good enough, they’re old enough!

Agree!!

I'd get rid at this point if anyone would take him, if we sign a RCB we'd have Ampadu Colwill and Chalobah as solid backups with potential

Is that definitely the reason? I thought because it was Arsenal, Tuchel didnt trust him.

Either way the worse we look in defence, the more I think he wont be trusted rather than it being the opposite.

No he picked up another small knock.

Colwill is becoming alarmingly injury prone. Missed large parts for Huddersfield in the second half of the season and has missed 2 of 3 friendlies due to knocks.

I was really looking forward to seeing Colwill get a lot of minutes of playing time in pre-season. His continued absence is one of the most disappointing aspects of this USA Tour for me .. admittedly the disappointment list is growing somewhat large now LOL

Really hope he is not going to turn into another RLC in terms of being injury prone ...

He’s still at an age were muscle growth and body could be at different rates. Careful nurturing now could pay dividends in the future.

What a waste. Even if we sign him back, we've wasted 20-25m.

Strongly disagree.

Colwill gets a permanent move and stability to develop in ideal conditions. We get money now and if Colwill develops as we all hope we can sign what's hopefully a top class CB at that point for a net sum of about £20 million.

Absolute waste and another kop out.. rather than try and develop we will go ahead spend crazy money on a poor man’s Marcelo and sell our hottest prospect.

I know he won the UCL but I am really starting to wonder if TT is doing more harm than good..

none of our players seem to have improved.. football is drab, forwards don’t score and we keep selling prospects and Transfer activity is bonkers.
