This is also the most balanced French team in a while, the injuries to Benzema, Pogba & Kante might have been a blessing in disguise.
November 26, 20223 yr Is anyone else confused by the brief offside graphic that flashes up ? Two clearly offside Argentina goals. The graphic shows a line that lines up with the Saudi players foot with the caption flashing " offside" above the Saudi players foot ? the Argentine player seems to have lost part of his body in the graphic. The other offside was similar, but the players body looks intact , but offside flashes on the Saudi foot again ?. and I've only had 1 pint so far😀😀😀😀.
November 26, 20223 yr The question is who can beat the French, last time they made it look easy but now even without some top players they're still looking unbeatable... Well so far, maybe things change in the knockouts but Saudi Arabia finish second in their group that's once again an easy task for this French team.

November 26, 20223 yr For f**k's sake Joey Cole, you're talking about the difference in pitch quality between eras of football just after they've shown a clip of the 1986 World Cup which featured Ray Wilkins several times; that was the perfect opportunity to tell the 'playing on bowling greens' story! For context:
November 26, 20223 yr México has never won against Argentina at the World Cup and their coach is Argentinian, Martino. He chose to play a back 3 this match, 3-5-2 or something like that, after a 4-3-3 against Poland. Not sure if he wants Argentina to have an easy time or if this is some immortal match for him as a coach...

November 26, 20223 yr Disappointing from Mexico. They normally give a better effort and account of themselves.

November 26, 20223 yr Think Mexico were playing for a draw and then went to sleep and left Messi unmarked on the edge of the box. If right Mexico will go all out for the win against KSA, which might put the KSA out. Kudos to Messi and a good finish from Fernandez. Edited November 26, 20223 yr by strider6004
November 26, 20223 yr Well Canada need at least a draw to have a chance to progress. Hopefully we can see a similar level of performance but with much better finishing. Croatia have a huge experience advantage, you never know when the underdog may strike though. Either way nation is proud of them.
November 26, 20223 yr Argentina get the win, but they still look like a bunch of individuals rather than an actual team. There is no build up play, it's just pass to that guy and see what happens. They are no different than they have been for over a decade. The last proper Argentina team we saw was in 2006.

They look weak in defence for me.
