Convicted of extorting a French teammate and friend over a sex video of the teammate. You really want that in the dressing room?

Didn't know that, thought he was just a bit of a dick.

It's genuinely mental that some people on here would turn their nose up at Toney. Scores plenty himself and brings everyone else into the game as well.

And he's a leader. Always talking and directing his teammates.

It's because of fear. Fans have seen so many failures that they become hyper focused on the one negative aspect of the players personality and fear it will be an issue at Chelsea.

I'm the same. Every fan in the world wants somebody with a goalscoring record like Osimhen in their squad, but I am worried that as soon as we sign them, it will be another case of a player not fitting the league or system.

For me is because he is a boyhood Liverpool fan. That's enough.

I would be happy if we got Toney. Proven goalscorer in the Premier League and his general team play is excellent. He would cost a fair amount, but then so would the alternatives that we are linked with.

Naughty from Toney moving the free kick position around the wall, the kind of out of the box deceitfulness we could do with.

I think it was pure cheating and wtf we’re var doing in not picking up on it. Moved the ball twice and redrew the line!!!
I think a Chelsea player done it shortly after the drawn line came iin and it was highlighted and very much ridiculed by media but last night it was ok according to the pundits, a bit like moving up the line for a throw in!!!

On here Garnacho got well hammered for cheating by scuffing the penalty spot.

Those 2 points lost may well be the difference to Forrest staying up or being relegated.

VAR fail once again.

Totally agree with you.

Pundits and media cretins laughing it off as "a bit cheeky", I`m sure it would be the same if it was Muddryk, or Palmer who had done it.

Most pundits have connections to Liverpool, Toney is a Liverpool fan so he is one of them so it is alright, clever in fact.

Yeah, but what a player.

Almost like Dennis Wise pinching Ginger Scholes.

Forest weren't exactly innocent though, their wall wasn't even behind the spray when the freekick was taken.

That would change if he joined us of course.

The way I look at it, he took a risk and got away with it this time. I imagine VAR will be keeping a close look on his free kicks in future. That being said, Yates of Forest did warn his keeper there was a gap before the kick was taken.

22 non penalty goals in 67 matches across the last 3 seasons.

He has a worse scoring ratio than Nicolas Jackson.

I said a while back in this thread that he is basically a goal every three games striker outside of being Brentford's designated penalty taker,

That's before you start looking at his age and gambling issues.

One for Arsenal methinks ... 😀

I think Clearlake would be wasting their money, 100mill, given his age, gambling issues, and importantly his pedigree as a championship journeyman.

As a potential loan till end of the season it wouldnt be a gamble too far. Or at a sensible valuation, say 37 mill, although i think lukaku is better value at that price.

Hes not going to make the grade at a top club.

I feel like this one has gone a bit quiet. I will be suprised to see him move this window, and in the summer there will likely be other targets. Feels like he will probably end up at Arsenal.

Toney made Brentford's first goal tonight and scored the second against Spurs. 8 months out but looks straight back in the groove with two in two.

He would make a world of difference for us. If it's a choice between the two we should be buying him over Osimhen every day.
