If you did was it a good game? Any key points? Not looking for sarcasm just actually interested. Never thought this one would be a 1-0 with Madrid attack and defence to consider.

I actually do think Liverpool had a good season, an excellent one in fact, like we did back in 06/07, but it's funny how different these pundits think when it's Liverpool in a similar situation. We were actually in contention for the quad until may that season and had none of the hype from the media. When we lost the league to Utd and cl semi to Liverpool, it was celebrated rather than weeped over like media are doing with Liverpool now. oh and we actually won our cup finals rather than relying on luck from pens… Edited May 28, 20224 yr by The Brit
May 28, 20224 yr I bet against Pool and won, haha! Noticed Courtois stepped up today, well played that man.

May 28, 20224 yr Uefa/French police rightly should be investigated about what went on…but not buying fact all Liverpool fans who were there had genuine tickets/were innocent etc either.

Either way, to climb over the fences like they did was just moronic and inexcusable. The police were always going to get heavy with them after that.
May 29, 20224 yr Told you that Madrid could go on to win this season when they fluked that win against us. But most of all we'll be grateful for them saving us from the liverpool lovefest that would've known no bounds had they won. It was f**king nauseating the number of articles that were worshipping a team who won 2 domestic cups on penalties thanks to our dire forwards and were nowhere in the league until city let them catch up. Great for Ancelotti to win a fourth but he'll probably get fired next season when he fails to repeat this success.
May 29, 20224 yr You know what's funny? In the end we were closer to winning a quadruple than Liverpool were lol
May 29, 20224 yr Checked out the highlights. Thought Tibos first half save from Salah at close range was very good. However his one from Mane in the same half and from Salah at minute 81 were out of this world outstanding. Top class. Don't be a prat about it though Tibo. We respect you are a top top keeper, and that us mainly why we did not like losing you. However the way you left was not good and an even bigger part of why you get stick.
May 29, 20224 yr Author I watched it, enjoyed it and thanks to Madrid, came away £45 better off! When they put us out playing like we did, I knew they would win it....and deserved to!
May 29, 20224 yr Well done, Real Madrid and congratulations to Carlo Ancelotti who's now 4 CLs as a manager which is a record. So happy to see Liverpool bottle it on the biggest stage. Tibo was MOTM!

His comments over the years makes me think he really misunderstands why he gets stick in England. He thinks people didn't rate him, but that was never it, it's just that the way he left the club was unprofessional. I also remember that he was one of those Belgians that liked to run his mouth a lot to the media during the international break. Courtois does himself no favours, he has a habit for saying the wrong thing.
May 29, 20224 yr I live less than 10km away from the Stade de France in the Paris suburbs. I've watched the videos of people breaking in to the stadium, jumping fences etc. As an educated guess it looked around 50% British Liverpool fans, and 50% local 93 pondlife, what we call "la racaille" I actually feel for the honest people who got shafted because of ticketless scum, but Liverpool aren't blameless. They also totally trashed the areas where they were concentrated in Paris, but most fanbases do that anyway...
May 29, 20224 yr Although that said our police are bellends and don't need an excuse to teargas and beat people
May 29, 20224 yr So much for the greatest team ever, got 2 cups from PKs, and fall short when mattered. There was no Klarius excuse, they were well handled and beaten by a better team. If it turns out Mane is leaving and Salah is not renewing, we may see some really interesting changes in the league and CL next season.

They also totally trashed the areas where they were concentrated in Paris, but most fanbases do that anyway... From what I have seen online, it looks like a large amount of people tried to get in on the Liverpool without valid tickets (either counterfeit or no ticket), and their presence in the queue held up the whole process of getting those in who had valid tickets. When the fake tickets didn't work a number of those fans then tried to storm the gates or climb over, creating further issues. The police eventually had enough and started tear gassing those outside. It looked like a lot of those with genuine tickets got caught up in that. I can understand why the Liverpool fans with valid tickets were upset with the authorities. They problem just saw a queue moving way too slow, followed by being tear gassed. But really they should be angry with those fans that turned up with fake or no tickets, and then caused problems by trying to force their way in. Seemed very similar to events in Athens when Liverpool played Milan in 2007. I remember a large number of fans tried to get in without tickets then too and ended up rioting, dragging innocent fans into the mess. Liverpool complained then too if memory serves me right.
May 29, 20224 yr It's crazy stat that Madrid have now won 8 straight CL finals. Last time they lost a final was 1981. 5 finals in the last 9 seasons, won them all. How the hell do you get this sort of luck.
May 29, 20224 yr Real reason why pool lost.. I guess he wanted to make sure they don’t slip up https://www.teamtalk.com/liverpool/steven-gerrard-watches-real-madrid-train-makes-champions-league-final-prediction

Liverpool had them beat on the tempo side of the game, but that Liverpool defence was constantly one decent ball away from being cut open. I also thought Modric dominated that midfield with Casemiro taking control of the defensive side of the game in the second half. It never really looked like Liverpool were going to score. That’s a fair point, Real looked dangerous every time they attacked, Trent was exposed big time 7 hours ago, RMH said: I don’t think they were the better team. I think we played Real Madrid much better at the Bernabéu than Liverpool have played the final. They haven’t created as many good chances as we did then. And Madrid’s chances were the better ones. But at the end of the day, the dippers lost and should have been by 2 if VAR had not helped them. I was saying I think Liverpool are a better team overall, rather than the better team in match if that makes sense? They have more quality imo but I agree, Real played a better game. And yeah I think Real found us toughest to play against, it’s actually impressive we managed to beat them 3-1!
