How could signed contracts by invalid, when everyone signed and photographed all over the internet? It's amazing the kind of BS they come up with just to mug players, and more surprisingly none of the players and gents have reacted. There must be something darker in this, like kidnapped family members in a basement or something. If Dejong stays, he takes a massive pay cut. If he goes, he forfeit what's owed to him and Barca get loads of money in return. This is some cold blooded mafia, KGB type of sh1t

wouldn't the same lawyers be the ones who make the contracts in the first place. The same ones who now say they are invalid? 

they could have put something in the contracts on purpose so they could use that later if they want to invalidate the contract

but i don't think they are smart enough to do that, considering how badly run the club is

Hang in there De Jong... Let them take you to court..  it's sad that other players , Fifpro, regulatory authorities are not speaking up against this bullying and gangster behaviour from Barca. Where is the sanctimonious Tebas now? Always harping and hectoring about PSG and Man City. Is he on a sabbatical? Or he has gone blind, deaf and dumb. This kind of behaviour should never be encouraged from any club because it's De Jong today, one day it would be some else in the EPL or Serie A. Players need to come out and speak against this.. even the newly signed ones .. if they have any morals 

If they successfully invalidated De Jong's contract I hope it becomes a precedent in law .. that when it's suits you, you can invalidate contract. Shame on all the courts in Spain, shame on all European courts. Shame on the European Union itself

 

the one thing Barcelona isn't counting on is that they are massively degrading their own reputation

except for some of the Barcelona fans the resounding majority of people are disgusted with their behaviour

Indeed but players can also afford lawyers and presumably have theirs review contracts. One thing that strikes me more and more is that this is generally big business. Individual contracts the size of a new cement plant, clubs selling at prices that are the equivalent of reasonable public companies. With the money comes professional advice.

I dont know who Tebas is but over here in Oz theres a bloke named Craig Foster who ( a few years ago at least) seemed to be anti-chelsea and a Liverpool supporter as well theres a s**tload of em! anyway when Barca beat Man utd in the champions league 2011 he proceeded to laud them outrageously. it was embarrassing,talking about it being a victory for football and mentioning their youth set up while demonising Man utds set up. Ange Postacoglu's another Liverpool sycophant and a Chelsea hater going by his punditry of yesteryear btw. The veneer of this disgrace of a club is slowly peeling away.

it doesn't really matter until the point comes when De Jong actually decides he had enough of Barcelona

 

I'm a lawyer in international affairs and I can confirm Barcelona is a city in Spain. Either that or in Cataluna. I can therefore not confirm or deny anything.

Anyway. Those lawyers perhaps want to reinstate the contracts that were in place before they were renegotiated, and no reimbursement of the reduced wages. Ta-da, one problem solved!

While I would love to have FDJ at Chelsea, I pray that he stays at Barcelona and teaches the thieving. cheating, lying, conniving LaPorta a lesson. FDJ has the power in his hands to bring Barcelona to its knees over the £14m he is owed and now the Club are trying to criminalise him regarding a contract that presumably, their own Lawyers created. You couldn't make this up.  Come on Fifpro, UEFA, FIFA get involved and get this kid his money !!

Now, I'm just a silly boy, but surely Barca playing several players with "invalid contracts" (that they were aware of) last year in the Champions league and Europa league, not to mention La Liga, is a serious offense. I mean fgs they kick you out for a single mistake normally?

Criminal club, deserve a hefty punishment but will likely get away with it. 

I really hope we don't throw them a bone.

Tebas has said nothing, because he doesn't need to. He warned Barcelona repeatedly they would not be able to register their signings and expressed his concerns about the "levers'. As you'd have it, just this week Barcelona tried to register their new signings and were declined by La Liga, because they did not agree with Barcelona's accounts. \

Barcelona tried to include a purchase from their own company as a €126m sponsorship (aka what Man City did with Etihad) and La Liga told them it doesn't count. So they now need to sell 49% total of Barca Studios (an IP company they created under Bartomeu) to a private firm.

If I’m understanding it right, Barca either have to sell De Jong or make him sign a new deal with lower wages in order to enable them register their new signings. Is that correct?

I’ve no problem with Foz especially with his work on helping refugees and asylum seekers etc,or Ange but the love fest over Barca on SBS every time was a bit much back then.

Really want this to happen but I'll be very surprised if it does. But if it doesn't and Barca succeed in getting him back on his original contract or get him to take a pay cut it's the most Beta thing I've seen from a footballer. They've publicly been trying oust De Jong all summer, going as far as legal action to force him to waive money he's owed so if he still wants to stay at Barca after all that it shows a lot about his character. If he stays to force them to pay him the money then it's different 

Sick of hearing about Barca pulling another f*cking lever, the sneaky c*nts.

I hope we sell Alonso to them, then blacklist them in the hope they collapse as a club, I would hate to think our money would help them in any way should we buy their players.
