The posts of well only compete once Boehly sells are pretty ridiculous. The difference is we are not a state backed side, and that is material.

I think we all underestimate the impact the sanctions had on the club. The entire organization, almost every position in the club has turned over. Ultimately this manifests in the rubbish we saw on the pitch.

You can’t fault their investment and desire. Boehly and team have made some naive decisions, quite a few really, but it’s early days. Pochettino is a good appointment, and if we can get Caicedo we have the makings of a good team coming together. I’m excited.

Apparently Bournemouth have sacked Gary O'Neill !

And there was me thinking that guiding them to a 15th place finish had him in the frame for manager of the season LOL.

Shocking decision

Sacked him and appointed someone I've never heard of LOL.

Some Spanish manager called Andoni Iraola who was previously at Rayo Vallecano.

From the write up on BBC web site he sounds like the Spanish version of Potter 🙂

Hard to feel any affinity with this England squad with no Chelsea representation whatsoever.

Unless it’s a major tournament I’d struggle to shake of the tribalism if there are zero Chelsea players in the lineup.

This lineup is pretty ridiculous tbf. Only thing stopping this team is Southgate.

O'Neil did wonders keeping them up with a few games to spare. Unless the new guy is the next Pep or Klopp, Bourenmouth really shot themselves in the foot there

If Chilwell can stay fit, I would have him over Shaw every day of the week.

I don't think it matters who is in charge of this group, England are serial bottlers, no different from Tottenham. Nobody should have England as challengers for anything because of this. They haven't beaten a single top level nation in the World Cup since they won it in 1966, so until that changes, I don't see how they can ever win a major competition.

I read many good things about him but I have never watched his team play.

I think it comes down how stubborn the guy and how well he is going to be backed up by bournemuth board.

He was a very good RB at Athletic Club Bilbao (my Spanish team), but I don't think that he has done much as a coach other than taking Rayo to the Spanish Cup semis. I can only wish him the best as he was one of my favourite players at Athletic when he was playing, but it is going to be tough for him to succeed.

Nailed on he scores a screamer against Kepa.

No idea why we have Vivell (ex Leipzig) as a technical director if we miss out on such a talent to Liverpool. Release clause was well known, and would have been the perfect replacement for Mount and at the same fee.

Szoboslai's issue is his pace, much like Hakim Ziyech he is a very technical player but without the ability to burst past defenders in top-tier leagues. That said, he will be a very good player in Liverpool's system as they need him to play deeper and more centrally.

Should also point out that Vivell "missed out" on Haaland from RB Salzburg to Dortmund lol

Not sure we need him.

Are we going to sell chuku?

He is years ahead of Chukwuemeka development wise, and I am still not sure of the plan with Santos, Chuks & Casadei.

He isn’t lightning fast but definitely quicker than Ziyech and has way more tools in his Arsenal. My worry is Liverpool have added 2 quality midfielders with goals & creativity for the same amount we are about to pay for Caicedo who doesn’t offer any of those qualities. If the idea is to add Caicedo & Veiga after gutting the midfield, it’s going to be a long season.

Seeing as we are signing all of these kids, where have we been on this one? Usually you can tell just from seeing a player a few times if they are going straight to the top, I would be shocked if he doesn't end up being one of those players. I don't know if this is accurate, but apparently he has a clause in his contract and can leave for as little as £20m. It's looking like he is going to end up playing for one of Real Madrid or Barcelona though.
