Carney Chukwuemeka

More a yes man, club want Chalobah, Carney, Chilwell et AL sold, he does what he is told.

I can understand Chilwell for his injury record and wages and i can half understand Chalobah from a 'pure profit' POV but i don't get why they'd want to force Chukwuemeka out. He's good enough to play and we probably wouldn't make that much profit on him.

It’s criminal he’s not getting more game time just criminal really!!

Too many similar players who all deserve to play, but who are effectively competing for one starting spot with how Maresca likes to set the team up. And next year we can add Estevao and Paez into the mix as well

Palmer, Felix, Nkunku, Chukwuemeka, (Estevao), (Paez).

I keep hearing he's the 2nd most talented player in the squad, Palmer being 1st, but for some reason he can't win a start even against some amateur Armenians. Maybe there is something else happening behind closed doors.

You think he is shagging Maresca's wife?

I think ppl like creating drama where there is none. We have a lot of players and each are getting minutes. Atm theres no space, who do we take out?

I see a lot of posts about this guy or that guy should be playing but sometimes I feel ppl forget we can only have 11 on the pitch at any one time. 😆

Who do we take out? For Carney?

OK then. But it's a long list. I'll start with the B team. KDH... definitely. Mudryk...... definitely. Felix, close and I like Felix, but yes, for sure, Carney first. Casadei? get in line mate behind Carney. Tyrique George, nope, Carney. Leave KDH out again even if Carney has a minor injury.

The A team Sancho.. Enzo.. even my true love Madueke gets binned to make space for Carney. This kid is a superstar. We let him go it's a huge mistake, there are Salah and DeBruyne vibes about him. The size, the ball control, the vision. I'd say Maresca is a fool but I'll be generous and go with @axman2526 opinion, he is just a "Yes Man" for the real fools.

He was signed before the directors came and Boehly gave him £100kpw.

All conjecture, but I think him not playing is down to one of two things:

The directors have seen his fitness + injuries and don’t think his reliability reflects the wages he’s been given.

Something happened between him, his agent and the club that went down badly.

I think you're reading too much into it.

I see it in much simpler terms ... he had the misfortune to be injured last season before he could establish himself, and now finds himself behind Palmer, and the expensive recruits Nkunku and Felix for his best position. You can't sell Palmer, and Chukwuemeka is probably the easiest to move on in FFP terms out of the others. They can't all play ...

Doesn’t explain though why KDH gets minutes ahead of him. I think his signing implies the directors weren’t ever keen on Carney.

Directors are like kids in a candystore with a bottomless piggy bank.

It just a colossal f**k up by the directors though. The directors should have seen we were stacked in the attacking mid role but still went out and signed Felix. The only reason we signed Felix is so Madrid would by Gallagher for pure profit. If that's the case then make sure you have a loan or sale setup for Carney.

I can't imagine being part of the original Clearlake splurge is particularly working in his favour. If you were to tell me then that Marc Cucurella would be the player who would go on to have the best Chelsea career out of this batch I'd have thought you were mad.

Didn't even realise we signed Tyler Dibling - did we really pay a proper fee only for him to immediately f**k off back to Southampton on a free? That said, I can find nothing in the linked source which says that he cost us £1.7m. The only other source I was able to find in the 30 seconds I spent Googling is from the very dubious Romano, who said we bid £1.5m.

Tbh, looking at the list it's not that surprising that Cucu is indeed the best signing as he was highly rated at Brighton and a major reason why they had success, alongside Mitoma and Caicedo. I wasn't expecting any fireworks with Sterling or Auba. Chucky, Casadei, Slonina were sort of unknown prospects. The only one I expected better was Koulibaly really.

Fofana had major red flags all around that deal due to price tag and injury, which we decided to bet on and it still haven't paid off.

Mitoma and Caicedo both either joined or had their break out season after cucurella left.

Oh, my mistake then, thought they'd all played together. Checking now it was just Cucu and Caicedo for a few games and Brighton got some pretty good results during the stretch so I probably mixed that up. Anyway, Cucu was on a high trajectory career wise. We were crazy to pay that amount anyway, but looking at that list there's really not much to be happy about, especially if we end up selling Chucky for peanuts.

This is one of the worst transfer window that we ever had.

Worse than bakayoko, drinkwater, morata

Rumours of Carney being loaned to Seltick in the Jan window.  He needs to be playing.  Scottish fitba not that interesting imho, but the lad needs game time.

Would be a decent 6 month loan for him but will only happen if Celtic qualify for the next stage of the CL or at least the playoffs. Pointless otherwise for both the player and the club
