Carney Chukwuemeka

Featured Replies

Don’t want us to sell him. Huge potential, and has delivered when played.

Fitness is an issue - so I would want loan at most. But ideally, we keep him and ship off Mudryk, sterling and wacko - giving chukky their space.

Agreed except the Jackson bit. I know you have a blind spot with him and he generally is extremely frustrating at some point in almost every game Jackson does off strength in depth, for me.

If there is no space for Carney this season then a season long loan where he can shine would be my choice. It needs to be a loan where he will play and be influential but not at a club that is going to be hammered most weeks. Bournemouth, West Ham, for example.

I really like what we have seen of Chukwuemeka, and I reckon he would have established himself last season with a run of games, had he not been injured. But he's now got to get ahead of Palmer, Nkunku, Felix to play in his best position, and next year we'll have Paez onboard as well, who the SDs have gone all in on ... I simply don't see how Carney is going to get any minutes for us, which is a great pity ...

I think he is 6'2 or 3 so he adds height to our team. He is a unit with physical strength and hard to knock off the ball. He has great touch and control. He can use both feet. He can run with the ball. He can pick a pass. He is excellent in tight spaces. He is willing to get in the box and have a pop at goal. He has looked a natural number 10.

We don't have any other player who has all these assets combined.

With Lavia and Caicedo both recuperating he could run the show on Thursday with maybe Veiga inverting in that midfield area as well. I don't even know if Carney is even in the squad list. I'm expecting him to go out this week.

Carney was on the published squad list.

There's a 'concrete possibility' I will use the toilet today

Boils my piss that people hang in his every inane vague word. He's a con artist.

I really hope I'm wrong, but it's starting to feel like his injury could be a sliding doors moment for his Chelsea career.

He may only be out for a couple of months, but that time represents a vital missed opportunity for him to have cemented his long term starting place.

When he returns, the landscape of our starting 11 will look very different, with the competition for first team places likely to be much higher.

Hate to say it.

Obviously very glad he is still our player but if Maresca is not going to even consider him, (I still can't wrap me head around him bring in KDH and totally ignoring Chucky), I wish he could go out on a loan to another EPL team to get up to speed and show what he can do.

Just unfortunate he is playing in a position we have loads of players in and on top of that coming back from a big injury. He’s a good player but he definitely needed to go on loan.

Guys its Chelsea!

Injuries will come and if he's needed I think Maresca will have to play him if he can regardless of what he said.

He's over 21 right? So the bigger issue is I hope there's space for him to be registered in the 25man squad in September. I haven't got the time to go through whos left and if under 21 or not atm.

First choice, when fit, yes. And then there's KDH.

He's still only 20 ☺️

Oh that's brilliant then, no need to be registered in the 25man squad and can still be used.
