Im pretty sure if Roman was in charge this would be over by now.

No owner is going to sack a manager and pay up 60m quid to terminate his 5 year contract after 2 months, not even Roman.... never mind the fact that the 60m can be used to buy players to support GP...which is what all us fans should be doing...Tuchel is in the past...it's about time he is consigned to the memory banks! Or go off and create a Tuchel appreciate thread so fans that support the club and not the manager don't have to read the constant drivel that is being spouted on a daily basis!

I think attracting the best players all comes down to the manager, besides money obviously, usually the elite proven managers will get the best players. We have to admit Potter will not attract the very best, and do what Brighton and Newcastle are doing.

Well said Coco.

Arsenal tried the path of established stars, Arteta got rid of that and it is starting to pay off.

Bought in players grateful to play for Arsenal, rather than feel Arsenal should be grateful to them for joining.

We need to do the same, but we made an awful start as the likes of Auba, Sterling and Koulibaly, imo, fit the profile of player that have big egos and feel we should be grateful to them for coming in the first place.

Then there is spending 62mill on a player inferior to Lewis Hall...

Brighton continue to flourish now they’ve upgraded on Potter.

Didn't Arsenal play, what is effectively, their second-string side?

They brought on Gabriel, Matinelli, Zinchenko and Jesus to try and claw back the game in the 60/70th minute.

I'd be more than happy doing what Brighton are doing. And Newcastle for that matter

Potter took over Hughton's awful Brighton and transformed them into a good footballing team.

the new manager has taken over that team, fair play to him, but you can't rubbish Potter's significant contribution to making that team actually enjoyable to watch.

now Potter has taken over another team that need the same sort of transformation.

True mate. And I can't remember Academy players letting us down the way ou r expensive imports have.

As long as we understand were now targeting the top 6 and 3rd best in London.

Maybe. But doesn't our superior spending power and supposedly better players make us more likely to achieve more than Brighton ?

there's a few big assumptions in that sentence , " better players " being the obvious one 😁😁😁😁😁😁

But Potter is used to dealing with hard working, players who were on board with his project.

our players meanwhile.....

It would show they are willing to admit mistakes and learn from them. That can only be a good thing, even if it's unconventional.

We lost 3 out of 4 away games under TT. this season

If he had stayed this forum would be calling for him to go .

there was loads of criticism of him on here during his tenure, now you would think he was faultless and leading us to more glory..

once the wing backs got injured we were useless, now they're out again. And TT had Rudiger during his time   , Potter doesnt

Mason Mount is doing his best to do so this season

I believe Potter should get a massive amount of time to build his squad. Chelsea has wasted enough cash by sacking every manager after a few bad games. He started when the season was already underway and has to work with Tuchels heritage.

There are a few players who just don't seem to find their way at Chelsea ( Pulisic, Ziyech, Lukaku etc ). wheter its the team'style of play, the intensity of the League , i dont know. I do know that i've been watching Ziyech for years now and he is a damn good player, but just can't get used to the English league. Same goes for Pulisic and Big Rom

I hope we qualify for the CL this season, and get a few fresh faces in the winter/summer. Hopefully Lukaku back with a good vibe and attitude as well.

Personally id love to see Eden Hazard back... but can he still deliver? 🙄

We may not have a choice if Inter decide not to renew the loan or buy him ...

Normally I would agree but I don't think so on this case.

If there's one positive to his entitled attitude it is if we're not going to give him the unconditional starting spot he feels he deserves he will find somewhere that will. He's done that in both spells with us and United.

If he's in next season's squad it's on Potter.

Potter put them in that position, had that manager come in to an under performing team it would be different.

Be that as it may, the post is observing changes and clear differences in Zerbi’s tactics.

Dont read it then. GP is out of his depth, a good percentage of the fan base is feeling disconnected, not because if the losses but because of the mentality, not just the mentality of the squad but the mentality or lack of attitude from GP. So you dont like people posting it diddums.
