We're arguably playing just a bad as when Lampard was sacked

Frank actually had us scoring, he just couldnt get us to defend. Everyone wanted Rudiger out of the club, lol.

For Brighton, he went through the whole of 2020 with just one home win. In the 21/22 season, Brighton had a 12 game winless run, shortly followed by a run where they lost 6 in a row. Even in his best season Brighton were one of the lowest scoring teams in the league.

I really don't get where all the hype around him has come from.

I've still yet to see a single name that we should have as manager instead of potter other than tuchel where we also almost certainly in my mind would be playing this poorly.

Not really, 3 wins in 6 is a dodgy start, not free fall. The free fall started when we lost 4-1 to Brighton.

We had a better start to the season than Liverpool did, Klopp has since managed to turn things around and they're on the up now, yet we couldn't give Tuchel that same time.

I guess we got to trust the process and hope he turns it around.

Very difficult to see positives, we had some horrible results under Tuchel, but I cant remember us getting dominated and playing for draws apart from City. Usually we were getting caught on the counter, today that wasnt possible as we barely got over the half way line.

Happy to have a break.

This is a myth; Frank's average scoring was the same as Tuchel and even Sarri. Our team hasn't been scoring since the trio of Fabrgas, Hazard and Costa fell apart. Since then, the club has been throwing money at Generational talents only for them to fail. Our midfield has also got worse since Fabregas left and Kante became injury prone.

This was not true for the end period (the part the poster you quoted is referring too).

We were playing like Tony Pulis' Stoke without the being difficult to beat element.

The football was poor and wasn’t sustainable.  Since August.

You can point the finger at which ever manager you like, point remains the same sh*t football we are watching is the exact same sh*t football we saw in preseason.

He is s fraud,

cant believe boehly and co appointed him. Which is another very questionable move by the owners

In the PL at Brighton, he had a win percentage of 28% !!!

34 wins in 120 games .... (44 draws, 42 defeats)

I think Boehly's team of analysts must be smoking some pretty strong weed if they came up with Potter as the manager that "improves his teams the most "...

I don't remember any games where we spent the entire match camped in our own half under Tuchel

Don't let this snake oil salesman fool you, he is clueless. He is not a competent manager whatsoever. Boehly bought his snake-oil for 5 long, venomous years.

You probably can't get them going with any coach, but a good coach would at least steady things a bit and make them competitive. Under Potter, it's just free fall.

So who and when? Would your choice be to sack Potter now (if at all), and replace him with Person X, or wait?

This situation is one of the reasons I didn't want Tuchel sacked, there's usually not a viable follow-up scenario. And screaming for Potter's blood may be a way to blow off some steam, but I've yet to see a suggestion how to move on should Potter leave., nothing more than the usual unhelpful Clear out the deadwood.

I think Potter being similar to Tuchel is o e of the reasons why we aren’t seeing an improvement.

Just a worse version of Tuchel. 3-4-3 passing football but nowhere near as sharp tactically

This is the key point. Potter was always a b-tech Tuchel. If the problem was with Tuchel's tactics then why hire a lesser version of him. Why not go for a different approach?

Again highlights to me that Boehly and his team are very seriously out of their depth.

I think he’s lost the dressing room. He doesnt command any respect from the players. I think in the match when Silva looked at Potter and threw his hands up as if to say what the fck are you doing? Said a lot. And from here things can go really bad, a lot worse than this.

Some people think we've reached rock bottom ... I think we're just getting started !

In pre season, never in competitive football

But it’s the exact same football since then? This was notoriously the start of Tuchel blaming the players publicly.

Boehly is making the right moves for the long term imo but it’s the short term that is killing us now.

Even if he has lost the dressing room, firing him will exactly send the wrong message we don't want to send. It will mean that player power persists in the club, and they can fire any manager they want.
