January 17, 20233 yr I could see us making a move for Caicedo in the summer. But I will be surprised if anything happens in this window. If anything we will probably see a few departures.

January 18, 20233 yr Logical signing. Suppose its similar to when we brought in Carvalho and Ferreira for Mourinho. And Bosingwa too now i think about it. Edited January 18, 20233 yr by RIP Mourinho addition

January 19, 20233 yr Author Along with the young winger from PSV, it sounds like Moises is the main player we are pushing for. How his newly appointed agents deal with that we will see.

January 19, 20233 yr There’s no update yet on Moises Caicedo and won’t be until he has his new agents. Caicedo is on Chelsea’s list but nothing will change until he picks his new agents. It’s not entirely clear yet how this affects their current players or other transfer targets, it’s too early to tell and the market is unpredictable.
January 19, 20233 yr Just my opinion but I don't think he'll be much of an improvement to be honest. What exactly does he excell at? Because to me he's just another one footed, not particularly quick, pass the ball side ways or sky another shot over the bar type and for the money that gets quoted he is not worth it. He most certainly will not sort our midfield out. We need better than that if we are to compete at the highest level again. Our next midfielder should be a real statement signing like we had in the past like Lampard, Essien, Ballack, Fabregas all where. I'm all for polishing diamonds but for me we are getting rinsed by Brighton again and again.

His ability on the ball is pretty underrated as I've seen him play some great passes in the final third. Something our current CMs only dream of completing.
January 19, 20233 yr Brighton got a decent fee from Arsenal for Trossard considering his contract is up, so that will likely allow them to hold out even more for the sum they want to sell Caicedo.

January 19, 20233 yr Valued to high and are walking away allegedly. Looking at alternatives. 2023 and we are still panic buying/loaning our most crucial area of improvement. 🤡

January 19, 20233 yr Chelsea have been forced to consider other options after being told Caicedo will cost more than £65m. (@Matt_Law_DT)
January 19, 20233 yr Lavia does look quite good and as i mentioned above Rabiot is about and is due up for free in the summer i think. I do like Lavia i must admit. Fits the profile
