That simply the way of football, the best players/players with the best stats get more leeway to prove themselves when they are out of form. I too think Mount should be dropped but I don't get why Pulisic is meant to be the solution to him being dropped? There are other players on the bench IMO that deserve to be given an opportuinity.

Assume it was a tactic to play with no midfield today. That can be the only reason why there was 0 cover, and why they strolled straight through the middle over and over again.

We are so easy to counter against, our wingbacks and whole midfield press forward, then it's just acres of space behind us for through balls.

Imagine giving Pulisic credit for that assist 🤣

Take note, I never supplant him as a starter but Mason and Kai should get the hook earlier. Potter at Brighton was a lot quicker with his subs and it usually made some sort of impact. Now he seems reluctant. News flash, Kai and Mason aren’t getting better as the game goes on

Reminds me of 16/17 when Matic was our lead assisted purely by being the one who kept happening to pass to Hazard before a wonder solo goal.

I win is a win I suppose but we seem to keep shooting ourselves in the foot. Some of Palace opportunities were from our mistakes when not really under pressure, Fofana for the goal, silva for the handball and Chillwell got caught out on the ball. 
Midfield is awful, I’ll not mention J5 but Kova is looking unfit and weak on the ball with no positive contributions going forward. 
Mount is badly out of form and needs rested. Kai refuses to take a first time shot and gets closed down. Happened twice today. Saha took his shot early forcing a good save from Kepa. Just hit the f**king ball First time Kai FFS.

Sterlings decision making is very poor, shoots when he should pass and attempts the pass when maybe he should shoot. Thought it was his poorest game for us but I think he’ll get us 15 goals this season.

Positives were Connor with the strike and also his energy midfield. Pulisic at least drove at the defence and created the opportunity for Connor.

Overall the play seemed more positive from Potter than TT and a bit more watchable. Early days for him but I think we will have a more entertaining side come New Year.

Pulisic got two years worth of free passes based on a purple patch in a semi pre season.

Potter on talk sport just said we maybe got lucky with the Silva decision.

Ain't seen it,  but fair play to him for being honest

The Pulisic hate on here is so emotional.  Yes it was a wonder strike, but at the end fo the day an assist is an assist.  Wasn't a KDB assist, but he still pushed forward and dribbled in.

Can't be just praise players and attempt to and do make a difference.  Its a squad game, we need options.

Chelsea fan first and foremost but at some point you’ve got to accept that form is form. Not a Pulisic thing, the same applies to others. 
 

It’s cocked to not be able to acknowledge that in todays dire performance, Pulisic doesn’t come on and do his thing we only draw.

There's no "hate" he's just being rightly criticised for being poor at his job.

Happened with many players before him but I never saw (most of) them get a defense team the moment they done the basics.

I'm sorry but Connor is the star of today's game, Chillwell, Cucu or Sterling could have easily made that same pass from the left. Reducing Conor's goal to "it was because of Pulisic" is just outright favouritism.

Agree that Conner is the star. Without Pulisic penetrating and dishing, though, that goal never happens. Enjoy your night, mate.

So Pulisic came on and provided an assist for what I hear is a great goal .

Why has the whole thing suddenly focused  on Pulisic ?
