Hopefully we can unearth the next big striker talent and sign him up early, the striker pool in Europe today is quite uninspiring - perhaps with the exception of Osimhen
February 13, 20233 yr most teams in england have a lot of money and if simeone manage to get top4 for atletico, I really believe that Felix will want to stay with us and don't work with simeone We a long with all epl clubs have a lot of money and I believe that if we propose a good deal to felix he will not refuse I think atletico stay with simeone and get top4 it is a key factor to felix stay with us but if simeone leaves i sadly believe that the next manager will want to stay with felix

That means we need 40 points from the remaining 16 games(48 points available). For that we need 12 wins, 4 draws, 0 losses. Potter should get a knighthood if he achieves it. Out of all the transfers we've made in the past decade and a bit I feel only Hazard was truly UCL dependant (admittedly the biggest one but still). Come on mate you're not daft, we will be hindered in the transfer market without CL/EL football, but it shouldn't matter really because we did most of our spending whilst still in the CL last 16, so now we need the new half a squad we just brought to get us top 4 next season (maybe a small chance of getting it this season). If we don't get top 4 next season with this squad we are up the creek without a paddle.

We need a strong, final push. That's what's so frustrating about our current form, we can't take advantage of the teams dropping points, I'm with you that top 4 is still a possibility. But even then I don't think Felix would be put off by no CL next season, all of our players are aware that we are a work in progress and we're building a top squad.

CL means very little these days in terms if attracting players. You pay the money and sell the vision and you can sign most players. The project at the moment is obviously an attractive one for the worlds best young players, so I think if we wanted him, we could sign him, as long as Simeone stays on.
February 13, 20233 yr Hard to say what will become of this lad, as it stands reports state he's happy here and would not be opposed to staying (on very good terms with fellow players). Boehly likes him and will push ahead on a permanent deal which should hopefully be around £80m/€100m (which remember we could spread across 5 years). Maybe they would be interested in a Lukaku swap. There is also the possibility (god forbid) we just keep Rom, he comes good and our striker issues is solved. Imo the hardest part of this signing isn't getting ucl to convince him to stay. It's fitting him, Nkunku, Sterling and another striker in the same team. Between Nkunku, Sterling and Felix you have an elite attacking unit that could really play anywhere across the front 3 or 4 positions. James looks decent in a back 4 as fb, but if we're honest I think the wing when we play a back 3 is his best position Rm/Rwb call it whatever you want. I would say the same with Chilwell, we're talking about those two on the wing this is a championship winning structure with Silva at the heart of a back 3. On paper assuming Chilwell and James can recreat their top form and apply it in a back 4. We decide on Kepa and Mendy or keep them both our line up could look like Mendy/Kepa James Silva Badiashile Chilwell Kanté/Kova Enzo/Rice Nkunku/Havertz/Mount Sterling/Madueke Felix/Mudyrk New number 9 4231 Personally I still like 3241 but if Spurs and us are anything to go by and Juve I suppose the back 3 is sorely out of fashion once again. Mendy Chalobah Silva Badiashile Kanté Enzo James Sterling Nkunku Chilwell Felix I think this team would do well, Nkunku, Chilwell, Kanté, Enzo, Silva, Chalobah and James all in their primary positions (+Mendy). Sterling would do well on the inside as an inverted right, Felix is more than capable of playing false 9, and will get plenty of supply from those 4 players behind him. I think this is probably the best balance we could have with Felix and Nkunku both in the 11 and if we wanted Sterling with them too. Otherwise you play one as a striker in a back 4 and bring Mudyrk on the left, Sterling right and the other one of Felix and Nkunku in AM.

Football is about fine margins, I honestly believe we just need about two wins on a trot to build confidence and get things going. We haven't played well in the last four games but there is some slight progress and we aren't losing (And we were robbed by VAR in one of them). Maybe I'm being optimistic but I think we will start getting it right in a few games.
February 14, 20233 yr Rumours that Atletico might be interested in Pulisic, so Todd might finally be able to close one of his player swap proposal deals. Maybe they might like Koulibaly and Kovacic as well LOL

February 17, 20233 yr Surprised more hasn't been made on his finishing against Dortmund, should have had a hat trick and arguably cost us the game.

February 17, 20233 yr Heard an interesting rumour from one of the YouTube Chelsea fans I follow. He said our plan for next season is to play 2 number 10s, Felix and Nkunku, off a new striker. This suggested Mudryk and one other, like Madueke, would take the wide rolls in a very offensive line up. He did not cover the rest of the side but I can only assume we would be playing as an anchor ahead of the back 4. I mean with a finisher up top we could look quite special but I don't see Enzo getting any support with such a side, would be something very different.

Don't think that works in the prem that's almost Lampardball to the extreme. The reason Pep can get away with two 10s as 8s is because of the profile of the players he uses. Nkunku and Felix plus 3 other attackers is unbelievably unbalanced in favour of attack. Highly against that idea, could only see us playing a 4231 that's more narrow with the 3 behind the striker all interchanging positions like Mata/Hazard/Oscar. My preference would be Nkunku/Felix/Sterling, behind an elite number 9. Then you put a hardworker in the pivot with Enzo and you're sorted. If Kante stays fit and Kova regains form I could see those 3 + another top CM/DM rotating between those two slots.
February 18, 20233 yr Been really poor the last two games, wouldn't be looking to spend £100m on him on the back of those performances.
