March 30Mar 30 Please go. Will not miss him at all. Seems like most of the signings we've made including Romans last few years have flopped and not been missed.
March 30Mar 30 Clearly there is contact between the player and Madrid. Unless there is a player coming to Chelsea as part of any prospective transfer I don’t see Madrid going anywhere close to the number our owners require. Our best bet is maybe Saudi come in for him when Madrid pull out. Enzo is weakening any bargaining power we had.c**t.
March 30Mar 30 If we sold Enzo and bought someone like Wharton I don't even think it's a sideways step, he's a good passer, looks to play the ball forward and more importantly we can have Cole Palmer playing more centrally rather than creating a team to fit Enzo's needs.Wins all round IMO.Problem is his book value is currently around £75m apparently - who's gonna pay that.If Chelsea want closer to £100m then we are stuck with him unless he really pushes for a move. March 31Mar 31 Confirms my thinking... Ahole couldn't care less and is just going through the motions in most of the games he plays for us.Sooner he goes the better.

So you agree with blue co strategy then.

Rather, give someone else the chance in the same way we have had to sell better players to accommodate this so called footballer. It shouldnt be hard to find someone better. We even have them in the club if they can stay fit. Edited March 31Mar 31 by bluelightening

March 31Mar 31 He’s probably the easiest to replace in the starting XI without us becoming any weaker, especially if Quenda is as good as we imagine next year.Lavia/Santos, CaicedoEstevao, Palmer, QuendaJPThere just isn’t a place for him in the side, so to get a fee as well. Only positives.

Play Estevao in the 10 and he gets 3x as much attacking contribution as Enzo over a season and offers as much in defence (nothing). Is this the same Estêvão who keep getting small injury while being on minutes restriction?

Only positives.I get not rating the player, but I don’t really understand the point about the starting XI.These days it’s not just about the "best" XI anyway — it’s also about squad depth, tactical flexibility, and being able to maintain intensity for a full 90 minutes (and across a season). On top of that, you’ve listed Lavia, who’s barely played — I’m not even sure what his ceiling is yet, especially with the injuries. Estevao has had injury issues too, which is pretty common for very young players. Caicedo also tends to pick up a lot of cards, including reds.Overall, the squad looks pretty thin depth-wise, and I’d argue it’s a bit one-dimensional in midfield as well.

It's clear Enzo isn't made for the Premier League. As others have alluded to I'd rather have Palmer there if the objective is to create attacking overloads or I'd rather have a physical midfielder there and deploy a midfield three to combat against physical sides/good midfields. Enzo as depth doesn't do anything for me either.
April 1Apr 1 Italy would be the best place for Enzo to go and be appreciated. The game is played at walking pace and he will be a cult icon with his racist spouts.
April 1Apr 1 I agree we could let Enzo go (for a decent fee of course) though with Palmer allegedly 'looking at' Utd I would not want both to go in the same season.I have said before until Estevao starts winning MOTM a few times and scoring against the big boys like Arsenal. City, Utd and Liverpool etc I am not convinced we can lose both Enzo and Palmer this season.I agree we could lose Delap and bring back Jackson as cover yet this is not the right thread to go too deeply into that. The big thing is will LR stay or will we get a team that plays on the front foot, if the latter then Jackson would be a good addition with Pedro behind and perhaps two wingers in Neto and Estevao though too far ahead to know what will happen on the player and manager front.

On the other hand, I think he'd be far more at home in a setup like City's, or Arsenal's (more possession oriented). I also like to point out that just like Caicedo, Enzo is heavily overplayed; and also like Caicedo, he's always fit enough and ready to play, which helps with squad depth.I think atm the PL is over-tuned for the physical game atm, which is showing in CL... Same happened long ago--chatter for a diff thread tho. Edited April 1Apr 1 by acaeus

Same happened long ago--chatter for a diff thread tho.But we ARE a possession-oriented side ... we have the third highest % (59.2) for possession in the PL this season, 1 pt behind City and Liverpool (60.2), and 2.4 pts ahead of Arsenal (56.8) ... Really don't understand your motivation to constantly defend Fernandez on here. Thought you were Brazilian, and yet all you do is point out faults when it comes to Estevao and Santos, while simultaneously ignoring the multiple times per game that the Argentinian poster boy screws things up. That goes way against the grain for the usual Brazil vs Argentina rivalry as I've always understood it. 20 times Enzo lost possession against Everton ... 20 ! I suppose your mitigation for that is that he is overplayed and tired LOL
