Cucu is now our 3rd choice LB. I guess it is good that another academy player is making a breakthrough.

We could have put 60 million quid towards a proper striker.

Interesting that Felix is straight in. Bit of a sense of desperation there, given he'll have no idea of the structures and I wouldn't think speaks much English yet. Particularly interesting that we didn't pick Jorginho or Cucurella to start with him as an extra player who speaks his languages.

But surely he can't win either way. On the one hand he's only here for 4 months, what a waste of money, or if he throws him straight in it shows desperation. 

I don't think it is. He's a signed player now. Throw him in. I am praying this signing and this approach from GP gives us the jump start we need

It's a fair point. Not like the planned approach is working for us anyway. Throw a joker in and give him a free role and see what happens.

The club has forked out a lot of money for Felix for just 4 1/2 months, somebody's been on the dog to GP and instructed him to play him every match no doubt!

Had to throw felix in with all the injuries, hopefully Mount and Havertz raise there games as I'm sure there will be an element if trying to impress each other. 

Not sure how this will go, not surprised we switched to a 3, Potter went there with Brighton in a 4231, and changed it mid way through 1st half to a 3.

2 wins in the next 2 are a must tbh. Dont care about the performance, just get back to winning ways.

If by structures you mean the way we play, I don’t think that’s a problem since none of the players know what they are doing, nor do they want to put any effort. At least he’ll want to impress and get the fans on board.

How is it that Chelsea can produce good defenders, but can't produce any top strikers/attacking players. Why can't we produce our own Harry Kane, Rashford.

Why can't we even buy one.  Every time we do, it never works very well. 

I want to feel optimistic about this but honestly I think we'll do the usual. Start brightly and then fade.

Maybe we can score a goal today or even win!

Looking at the lineup you can tell how much the injuries are killing us.  

 

If everyone was magically fit to play right now, maybe 4 of these guys that are starting today would actually be starting this match.  

Jorginho was visibly tearing up at the Vialli tribute.
