Thé team isn’t on good form so any win is important for the players to gain some confidence. Not sure how that’s a bad thing or would you rather us moan after winning?

i just want some standards in Chelsea FC, beating Crystal Palace at home 1-0 with such nervy ending shouldnt be anything to celebrate

Very entertaining game but overall we were bang average especially going forward and extremely fortunate at the back thanks to Tiago / Kepa/ Badishali.   VGood game from Hall and a great replacement for Chillwell; CC can warm the bench for the rest of the season.  This midfield and forward line needs sorting out though and although we've signed some decent players I'm not sure GP can fit all the right pieces together and form a cohesive unit both from an attacking and defensive standpoint.    I hope GP doesn't think that this game was a game to turn the tide, I'm afraid it just papered over the cracks.

Holy sh*t the way the game ends and how we defend with 11 players in the box, I would think we are playing prime Barcelona in the CL final lol

The standards are on the floor these days, we are celebrating like we won the f**king world cup after beating the mighty Crystal Palace

You sound absolutely gutted. We all need things to look forward too. And when some of our 11 injured players are back and results start picking up, I look forward to you f**king off. And @TimesUpPotter

You want some standards yet last time you were on here I swear you defended that infamous Conte approach at Man.City like your life depended on it.

Come on man. At the moment the 3 point was exactly what we needed and every win is a potential kickstart to the season.

We should be overjoyed we win. Maybe the performance was so-so but there were at least some encouraging signs today. Also happy Badiashile had a very solid debut.

Ziyech also very good today I may add. Usually gets a lot of sh*t but without him today I don't think we win.

Just got in from the womens game. Caught a bit of the first half and a bit of the second on a dodgy stream and the last 20 minutes on the radio.

Were we any better than the usual sh*te or not despite the win?

Just a classic routine home win with a clean sheet under Jorginho (C).

because Goal difference matters? Dont even know the basic rule?

I think so, we weren't incredible but we made a lot of chances, and showed some grit to see the game over the line in the last 10.

Strong debut for Benoit, Gallagher also played well and looked more comfortable than he has done so far in a Chelsea shirt (at least, in my opinion)

Well we aren't high flying at the moment and we have enough injuries to field a whole starting eleven. Personally I don't care if we beat Milwall or Man City, I'm going to celebrate because its a tough time for everyone at the club and life is too short to make everything negative.

I heard Pat Nevin say he had bad cramp at the end, doesn’t this mean he actually moved?

big 3 points, although I suppose they all are.

Didnt understand the Koulibaly change, it seemed to invite pressure.

Apart from that, no complaints, really impressed with Badiashille, very composed, and dominant in the air too. Looks like he has a mistake in him, but most 21 year old defenders do, and if he can build a partnership with Thiago Silva, I'm sure those mistakes can be ironed out.

Ziyech and Gallagher, very impressive, as was Silva and Kepa.

Havertz shouldve had 3, but one goal was enough in the end.

Crystal Palace brought on two big strikers, which is probably why GP went for Koulibaly instead of Cucurella.

Overall... pretty poor game but three points for Chelsea was the ambition. Badiashile indeed looked good, more mobile than Kouli and with a good left foot.

Lewis Hall is my man of the match though, really brings something different to this otherwise pretty slow and clunky side.

you always celebrate when beating Millwall lol

I just find it ironic that you claim you want standards but also think setting up like San Marino is perfectly acceptable.

He moved once and ref said it was a foul on Zaha can you imagine?

Kepa - 7 - Made 3 very good saves, one of them required world class reactions.

Hall - 5 - Gaining experience by the game, but still very raw. Some decent attacking moments, but needs to stop panicking when closed down or when he runs out of space.

Badiashile - 6 - A very composed debut, just what we needed really. Nothing spectacular, but no scary moments from him either. Looked like he had been playing with the club for months.

Silva - 8 - Brilliant, best player on the pitch by a mile. Positioning is world class, made some great blocks and headed clearances, especially towards the end when we really needed it.

Chalobah - 6 - A lot more like himself today. I don't know what the Fulham game was all about.

Jorginho - 3 - Bloody terrible. Like watching a mix of a kid getting bullied and a man of 60 trying to run. Offered absolutely nothing all game other than a few 5 yard passes.

Gallagher - 7 - The kind of fight we needed really. A mixed bag when it came to quality on the ball, but when we are in the mess we are in, it's good to see a bit of fight.

Mount - 4 - Very poor again. He's having an awful season. He's turned into a 1 good game in 10 kind of player.

Chukwuemeka - 4 - Disappointing. A wasted opportunity today.

Ziyech - 7 - Our most creative player today. Didn't dominate the game, but had some really nice moments. It's similar to the Alonso situation, if he had pace, he would be unstoppable, it definitely holds him back.

Havertz - 6 - A 4/10 performance, gets an extra 2 points for the winning goal.

Subs:

Aubameyang - 4 - Had two good chances, never took either of them.

Koulibaly - 4 - Didn't exactly bring any composure to our defence when Palace were pushing for a late goal.

Azpilicueta - 4 - Same as Koulibaly, not composed at all.

Kovacic - 5 - Didn't really noticed him when he came on.

Was a wiley bit of timewasting I think

Beautiful tribute to Luca. Well done to the club and fans.

Got the result and a grafting performance. Main positive for me. Carney and Hall looked good, raw but good effort. Can see the quality is there to be refined.

Silva and Gallagher the stand out players today. Badiashile solid debut, Zaha wanted none of him.

A win is a win. Obviously we still look unconvincing but, let’s see if we can build on this. Maybe with players coming back soon like chilly, james, fofana, Felix, and so on we can go on a run.

Sounds like Zaha thought he was an actual ghost (his ghost tribute act is strong - unlike the man) and tried to run through him.

With half of these scores you've given I feel like we watched a different game

Couple of negatives for me is our 62mill left back is now 4th choice behind Chilwell, Hall and Koulibaly?!?

Havertz scored the winner and that will give him grace to stay in the side, but he missed 2 sitters that should have proved costly.

Oh end on a positive I forgot, couple of outstanding saves by Kepa.
