Until you remember our player amortisation costs has blown past £200m. We can’t afford to keep him especially with no European football. Any interested pay will wait till the last week of the window. I just hope this doesn’t blow up in our faces like Jackson last summer. Won’t be surprised if he is loaned out with an option to buy.

If they are serious about that number, then maybe they don't plan on selling him after all. Could mean that James is moved to the RCB position and Palestra and Gusto rotate in that RWB role.

That maybe the price the club have in mind, I was edging closer to 50m. Club don't want to show their hand they are desperate to sell him.

By my calculation his book value should be about 20m.

As a RWB think he could fetch 70m, he is only 23yrs old and had a good cross.

If you sign a player for a position, you don’t often demand more money for the player he is replacing. That would imply you are getting rid of a better player, in most cases.
