Yes. I don’t disagree with you. It’s not on our defenders (the players), but the defence, and for that the coach is responsible. 💯 basically I think the last few weeks have revealed that our players can all play. Lots of q marks over the coach still (but I’ll give him a chance).  Much better that way round though than great coach but terrible players. 

Kepa - 4 - Needs stronger hands for their late goal. 

Chilwell - 7 - A bit quiet in the first half, but instrumental for our early momentum leading up to our first goal

Badiashile - 4 - Early momentum that he built up gone now. Don't know why he was dropped in the first place when he was playing so well.

Koulibaly - 2 - Horrible in the 2nd half. All of his weaknesses exposed all over again after a few good games where we seemed to have got on top of it. I blame Potter in a lot of ways today because he put us in that position with his tactics.

Fofana - 7 - Best defender today. 

James - 5 - Better in the 2nd half, a bit all over the place defensively though.

Enzo - 7 - Pretty much identical to Chilwell.

Kovacic - 5 - Good first half, poor second. Like watching the Kovacic in his first season with us where he disappears in the 2nd half.

Felix - 6 - A mix of brilliant and frustrating. Nice goal, some nice turns and flicks. Once Potter made the change, his game died.

Pulisic - 5 - He had a few bright moments, but it was mostly same as usual from him. Too soft.

Havertz - 5 - Get's an extra point for the penalty, but it was back to that same Havertz today. Nothing on line today so he f**ks about like he doesn't give a sh*t again. Lost my patience with him now. Don't care how talented he can be, it's completely pointless if he is going to play like that most games.

 

Subs:

Gallagher - 2 - Terrible time to come on. Our game fell apart as soon as he entered.

Loftus-Cheek - 3 - Second bad sub.

Chukwuemeka - 3 - Third bad sub.

Chalobah - 4 - Fourth bad sub.

I often wonder why this forum has such little activity and so few posters given the size of club we are and then I see some of the older posters and it's pretty clear why.

If you were a kid on social media posting about a celebrity every day it would be a little weird but you'd grow out of it, when you're an old man obsessing over a random user on an anonymous football forum we're probably at the stage someone needs to take a look at @just's hardrive.  Weird dude.

I've backed, and still back, Potter but he got his changes wrong today. All three of them but especially the first one. We lost control of the game immediately after that first change 

 

While it didn’t help, I didn’t get the impression chelsea ever looked comfy when Everton crossed the halfway line. Their physicality was too much for our ‘nice’ guys. Good job they were so negative for long periods.

If we go 3-5-2 after 80 mins, I understand. But to withdraw all width you have after 60 mins is poor management. We destroyed any chance of hitting them on the counter. Too cautious of a move. Explains why we struggle to score goals.

The only thing I am confident about is the prediction I have made throughout this Season. 10th - 12th. I see no reason to change from that.

Well - you can count me along the relatively less pessimistic, but I was never confident about going through against Real and I don’t think we will. The optimism regarding this fixture pre and post announcement seemed misplaced. Not least because Carlo is one wily operator. Right now, I don’t think we’re better than CL QF. Would of course love it if we do get through. But I’d see it as punching above our current weight.

Interesting that you were away for 10 days or so when we had a wee run going of 3 wins. Yet suddenly appear when we have a poor draw. Agenda or what. Certainly not a Chelsea supporter.

Not sure how it’s happened but we’ve turned into Arsenal, small technical players with no incision, lack of physical players and no leaders…(when Kepa is vice captain you know we have problems ) and Arsenal are turning into us.
