I know very little about any of the names put forward. But Nagelsman seems like the better choice over Enrique, based on the previous few years.

I'm in the same boat.

I have a feeling that we might see an interim who'd just be there to keep fans happy (Lampard probably). I do also wonder if there will be some hesitance to take a perceived risk again.
Lets say Nagelsmann or Luis Enrique come in next season and struggle, that'll be 0/2 for the new ownership, fans will start directing their ire towards Boehly & Co, and they wont want that.

Unless they are absolutely blown away by one of them, I think the safest play is getting in someone popular with the fans who has a track record of success, even if their tenure ends up being relatively short. In my mind that person is either Jose Mourinho or Carlo Ancelotti.

I think there is every chance that the club appoints an interim for the rest of the season, so that they don't rush with the next appointment. Lampard is apparently interested in the interim option and that would also explain his presence last night. I could see that happening as he already knows a number of the players well.

🚨 We’ve just been told that Luis Enrique’s representatives sent Chelsea a full PowerPoint presentation from him outlining every detail about his vision and his plans for each individual player.

I wouldn’t mind frank as interim but it could go one of 2 ways. He does well and redeems himself as a Chelsea manager or he does awful and cements himself as a bad manager. I think it’s too much of a risk and his image as a manager could be tarnished

I think Enrique is probably the safer option. He has won bigger competitions and is more experienced. I like the idea of Nagglesmann but he’s a manager that has just failed at a big club - bit like Potter. Plus, he’s still on 35. It’s so young.

PSG have made their first contact with Julian Nagelsmann. Christophe Galtier will no longer be PSG's coach next season.

I actually think Pochettino is the safest option. Then Enrique, then Nagelsmann.

How did Nagglesmann fail at Bayern? He won the Bundesliga & their FA cup last season, & was 1pt behind Dortmund. He was sacked for non sporting reasons.

Failed is harsh, but context is key. We're sh*t and we took the piss out of the current 2nd place club in the Bundesliga. Bundesliga is a poor standard atm in terms of quality.

Bayern fans I've spoken to showed concerns over his constant changing of tactics, and that he's failed to stamp his authority over certain players. They believe that even without Lewandowski, they should be well clear from Dortmund and no where near this being a title race.

The sense of entitlement is mind-boggling. They think they're entitled to win the title by 20 points every season.

Tbh we battered Dortmund and City destroyed Leipzig. Bayern have found themselves battling those 2 for the majority of the season thus far.

In terms of quality, they should be out of sight.

He's kind of desperate to get into a top club and this maybe his best chance. The WC didn't exactly raise his stock with their only win coming against costa rica and losing to japan and morocco.

Let's have SFL in on  short term, media reporting "he's prepared to take on job on short term basis"

He's got to be better than freakin Bruno - zero experience at this level.

As for next season its Enrique or Naglesman imo

Well, Bayern battered their CL group opponents scoring 18 and conceding just 2.

Never expected arsenal to be 8 points clear of man city while Pep is still there. League football can be a bit strange sometimes.

Tbf to him that Spain team aren't great. Their golden generation has been and gone. Now whether his achievements at Barca can be negated by having Suarez, messi and neymar, tbc, he did at least have the balls to tell messi he's going on the wing with Suarez up top and they were pretty dominant.

I'll always have a soft spot for Lampard and Tuchel for the way they managed the club through it's most turbulent history, from the transfer ban through covid, the ESL crisis, club sanctioned nearly out of business before being auctioned off. Hats off to them both.

So imagine how he would get on against 19 EPL clubs who can all beat each other on their day. I don't want him anywhere near the club.

I actually wouldn't be against Frank as interim.

Problem is if he does well I'd fear he get the full time job and eventually it will inevitably go wrong and divide the fanbase again. The last few weeks of his first spell was probably the most toxic I've seen this place since I joined.
