That is a North American thing. Owners have always made the presence felt in the dressing room, No problem with that. 
As for yet another new manager I still think Diego Simeone is somewhere in the mix and should be.

There were mixed views inside #Chelsea on Julian Nagelsmann. The 'feeling' was that he wanted a job offer without competing with other candidates.

Why?

It's possible that Frank stays on as manager next season, simply because no one else wants this job.

Frank might not be a quality manager at this time, but at least he LOVES the club. 

 

I think they are looking for a manager that is willing to work with the youth team as well and bring players into the first team and that might be why they didn't want Nagelsmann.

That's what I've gathered from what I've read, he didn't seem to like the "through process" with other managers.

Maybe this is Boehly's plan - Declare that there is no suitable candidate found in the "due process". He then gives himself a 5 year, billion pound contract. With the team rock bottom after 20 games, he fires himself and takes the half a billion payout and retires somewhere in the mountains.
