Who ever it is, it needs to be 100% the right one.

Water is wet and all that, but in our current state we simply cannot get this next one wrong.

I think anyone remotely competent gets this squad top 4, unfortunately that seems a bit too much for this board to hire

There are just certain players where if they are still in the squad come next season you can expect progression to stall.

Big changes need to be made and I hope we get a manager that has the balls to do so.

I really hope Real Madrid are stupid enough to sack Ancelotti, because he's the only one I really want. Everybody else available has big question marks over them for me.

Nagelsmann is too young, I don't think he is the right man for this club in its current state.

I don't really rate Enrique that highly.

I am 100% against Pochettino for the reasons why I listed the other day.

We still don't know how good Zidane is, even though he was successful at Real Madrid. Also, Petit said he doesn't speak any English and is the type of manager who is in constant communication with his players, so it wouldn't work out anyway.

Conte and Mourinho are too self destructive.

Sean Dyche anyone? At least he’ll kick some player’s bollocks and punch those that do not try on the pitch… (knee jerk reaction but…)

We’d get a bare minimum of 2 seasons with Carlo and we’ll find ourselves in another situation of needing to look for a manager.

Not to mention Carlo needs established footballers.

Yep, honestly baffled at the calls for him to return atleast right now.

If we had our UCL winning squad plus Enzo I'd understand but we've got multiple young players that need micro coaching to the finest detail if they're going to fulfill their potential.

The closest squad Carlo has had to ours in terms of characteristics was Bayern and they took training sessions behind his back because they felt so unstimulated.

Giving this squad to Carlo would be the managerial equivalent of playing Zola as a target man.

I'm going to completely change my tune from when Tuchel was sacked and I wanted Zidane!

I think we need Jose or Carlo back, a manager that can apply a quick fix to this team and put this whole 'project' nonsense on hold for a season or two!

I wouldn't want to risk either a too-young manager or one that hasn't a clue about this league, cause we'll probably be sitting in the same boat next season!

Make JT assistant to rally that dressing room and bring one of the old boys back as the boss!

I think we're trying too hard to appease these players with positivity when really we should be getting a manager in who stamps his authority.

On the contrary, I think a lot of our players have the quality and are ready, someone just needs to whip them up to shape.

I think people underestimate the quality of this side because of how sh*t we've been (I can totally understand it), but make no mistake there's no reason why a side the quality of ours couldn't challenge for a league title if they were well drilled and had a good pattern of play.

The striker situation is obviously a muddy one though. And someone to play for Kante when he's away.

I fully agree the sides got quality but we still have some very raw pieces to me. Look at Chilwell from 2 years ago for example, he's widely regarded as a top class wingback now but could barely play the role until Tuchel got hold of him, i feel we have players at a similar crossroads

Enzo and Colwill are the exceptions as they'd both be elite even if Sam Smith is coaching them but i feel if we're going to get the very best we can out of Mudyrk, Madueke, Hall, Santos etc (not to mention players like Hutchinson) they need a coach to truly invest in them on the grass, that's why i've softened towards the idea of Pochettino after years of being totally opposed to the idea because that 'peak' Spurs team featured so many unexpected players playing at elite level.

I hope we go for someone with an established style of play. Enrique, Amorim or Spaletti.

Nagelsmann is a way superior tactician compared to Potter but he doesn't have a set style of play like Potter. Not sure if this will work for us.

A reminder yet again that a back 5 gets the best out of James and Chilwell. Also brings the front three closer together.

That would mean either Amorim or Nagelsmann, or possibly Conte again

Spaletti would be a great choice, especially if he brings Osimhen over

Regardless of who the manager is we dont have any goalscorers. A few seasons ago we had Giroud, Tammy, Pedro, Willian, even Alonso who could strike a ball. Before that add Hazard,  Costa and Oscar. 10 years ago we had Lamps, Hazard, Willian, Oscar, Torress, Eto, Schurrle, Mata. Under Ancelotti we had Drogba, Anelka and Malouda with the likes of Shevchenko , Sturridge and J Cole as subs. You can go all the way back to 2004 where we had Drogba, Lamps, Mutu, Gudjohnson, Hasselbaink, Robben and Duff.

Weve always had players who were clinical, who could score goals, all types of goals, half chances and goals out of nothing. Now we have none…even Kalou is a better finisher than our current crop of players and he walks into this current team. We have spent £600 million in the wrong areas and on potential apart from Enzo and Badioshille, the others are just raw and unproven and that in most cases doesnt materialise. This is on the new owners who thought success comes easy and can be bought without any real thought and planning.

Newcastle on the other hand have been cautious, shrewd and very clever. The Saudis have more money than Boehly and co but have spent a third of what Chelsea have and have assembled a better squad, are currently 3rd and are not a laughing stock by sacking 4 managers in 1 season.

Was his choice to leave. He wanted to go back to Italy.

When he's having to hear 'f*ck Sarri-ball' chants every week whilst being in the top 4 all season I can imagine he didn't feel welcome here

Newcastle don't have a better squad than us, they have a better manager. Guimaraes and possibly Pope are the only Newcastle players that would start for us.

He could be a CL winning manager come the end of the season.

He has to get them to the final otherwise it is a failure imo.
