I've got nothing against Frank, but surely unless we suspect someone like Carlo could be available in the summer who we could get, then why dawdle on the two major managers who are available, I understand  Enrique is definitely available now and our supposed front runner Nagelsmann were not 100% sure if he is,but leaving it until the summer will give other teams such as PSG a chance to grab Nagelsmann from under our noses.

What makes you think we are going to wait until the summer? We are interviewing candidates now. A pre agreement will be in place within 2 weeks imo.

Lamps as interim is a good idea to raise the spirits of the club and players. The team is currently lacking in confidence and even though he is no master tactician, he might be the right person to give them that confidence.

I'm glad you're self aware and I agree you're the right man for the job.

4 Managers in 1 season with about a dozen games to go, this has to be a record that's hard to break 😅 Anyway, I'm happy with Lampard as interim if he takes it, could have happened in February and spared Bruno a week managing the boys.

well real madrid game is only in a week

even if we want to apply his ideias he will don't have any time

maybe this could be a good thing XD

It's not about applying his ideas. It's about bringing in a club legend who captained the club to a CL win, has worked with the long standing players in the club including giving the academy lads their first shot.

He will bring an air of positivity, remind the players who Chelsea are and that in itself might provide the bounce the club needs to salvage some pride from this season.

Do you seriously think that is an unreasonable comment from @19seventyone. 0-0 vs Fulham, 1-1 vs West Ham, 0-1 vs Southampton, 0-2 vs Spuds, 2-2 vs Everton and 0-2 vs Aston Villa. These are not elite clubs.

Yet beating Real Madrid over two legs, then either Bayern or Man City and then, possibly Napoli to win the champions league.

RM Played 27 - 59 points, Bayern Played 26 - 55 points, Man City Played 28 - 64 points, Napoli Played 28 - 71 points. Chelsea Played 29 - 39 points.

Whilst we can all hope for CL success it is perfectly reasonable to say its unlikely. It would be a bl00dy miracle. In fact even Tuchel would struggle to win all these games

Liverpool 05 and chelsea 2012 were ucl champions with awful league campaign

we need to believe and we have kante with us and squad almost fit

we can not simply think "oh yeah we can not win a ucl"

this standard of this club right now

Indeed. Real Madrid will tear us a new asshole. There have been surprise winners of the CL, ourselves amongst them. But never has a team barely above Sunday league level won it.

If this actually happens I'm done.

Imagine if we had Lukaku as a player manager here next season,

I think Argo would find himself a remote island and live there for the rest of his life.

And dig up Osgood ffs

Maybe that's the curse of the Bridge...Ossie being buried under the pen spot.  Dig him up and remove the curse....maybe drive him to Old Trafford or the Etihad or even the Emirates...just a thought.

It looks as though Frank will be the interim manager until the end of the Season. Then, I have a strange feeling that we may well bring Mourinho back, with Frank as his assistant. Not saying I want this to happen, I just have a feeling it might. All Jose has to do then is find us another Drogba 😉

But he never said we cannot win it. He said it is unlikely which is evidently true. Benzema has scored 6 goals in his last two games, Havertz has scored 7 all season.

So rather than mocking or sniping at other forum members why not see what they have written for what it is, reasoned and rational comments.

Ive got a feeling we already selected Nagelsmann and we are just leaking lots of names to the press to make it seem like we are having a long process.

The chop and change? Sure. But my biggest concern about Potter was never him changing formations, it's that his teams were woeful at scoring goals, back when people were complaining about Tuchel not getting the best out our attackers. Nagelsmann on the other hand is the opposite in that regard, all of his teams have been high scoring, with average attackers at Hoffenheim and Leipzig.

From the sounds of it a lot of Bayern players were shocked at Nagelsmann's sacking, it doesn't look like he lost the dressing room. I can't tell when it comes to authority, but judging by that dressing room speech someone posted above he doesn't exactly seem soft either.

The safest option on paper would be Pochettino, but I just think the fans won't warm up to him, and the atmosphere would become toxic quickly, like with Benitez. Not to mention the fact that he came 2nd in the French league with PSG is extremely worrying.

I thought Rafa was pretty good to be fair.

I don't remember much toxicity after the initial few games, and it was q great atmosphere in Amsterdam when we played Benfica.

The Frankie appointment is just one to appease the fans I reckon , I hope it's not a disaster because I believe our game is evolving into something better , faster, less pointless , aimless possession.

We need to get the manager sorted out quickly and get him in regardless of Frank .

Anyone can make up anything and it would be believable given recent past so I'm going to say this twitter is just chasing followers/hits. I suspect it was nagelsmann but Enrique has thrown a spanner in the works and they're weighing up the two.

From what I've read and heard, it seems that both coaches want time out to consider their next move, so while interviewing process is going on, it seems that Nagelsmann doesn't want to take a job so close to end of the season and the same for Enrique, which is fair enough. They obviously want a preseason and more time to access who they want to keep etc.

Yup, it would be Sarri-ball part 2, except Sarri has actually managed to get average squads playing great football at Napoli and Lazio, whilst getting good results. I geniunely have no idea why Enrique is being hailed as a world class coach.

Don't you think that despite poor results our football is better, faster, less Sarri ball?

And so many chances going begging. . I think we are getting close to something really special, I'd hate to go back to that endless, pointless, passing game again

This is the annoying thing about a new manager search, any old media outlet can put out rumours via social media with no way of knowing if they have serious sources or not. It's easy to tweet out Conte is being considered without any genuine sources for this.
