Gallardo would be a huge gamble. Another manager who is unproven at this level. Imagine the pressure.

It would be a gamble but the pressure here will feel like childsplay compared to what he's use to. Many of the River fanbase are absolute maniacs.

After the failed Potter experiment it would be a massive risk to go for someone with no European experience, who most people (myself included) have never heard of. If he came in and didn't hit the ground running, he'd be facing the same calls for his head as Potter was.

Managing in Europe is an advantage to be sure, even more so managing in England. Once more you have the edge!

The vast majority of our lineups these days have two survivors from Sarri left at most.

Jorgi was our only dm for 4 seasons.

If you are one of people who believe jorgi can play in any system then it is whole another story.

He may have left voluntarily but i imagine his decision was made a lot easier by fans chanting 'f**k Sarri-ball' on a regular basis at home games.

I didn't know they were chanting that. I always thought it was 'f**k sideways ball'

this is so interesting to me lol real madrid GIF

What an opportune moment for one of our most used gifs.

I didn't necessarily mean the pressure on him, but the pressure on the whole club, especially on the board.

It’s utter madness that we’ve not scored in 5 hours of football. 5 hours. I know the players are lacking belief but it is madness.

The players look like they want this season to end. Whoever comes in, needs to shove a rocket up them. We almost need a Conte moment..

Brighton are a good team, they do give up chances but so do Wolves so... could soon be 6 and a half hours.

Not surprising, as a fan I want it to end as well. Really nothing to play for and our games just feel like a weekly chore now rather than something we're supposed to enjoy.

We need someone who is going to micromanage the sh*t out of these players.

Clueless in certain phases of the game and no cohesion what so ever. An issue since Tuchel.

Micromanaging is short term thinking and it is the worse thing that you can do if you consider yourself as a big club.

Lol...this is poor poor journalism. So a manager who already won the league last season, lost only 3 games this season, battered all CL opponents which included Inter, Barca, PSG but gets sacked for the first time in his career by a club who wants to win the league by 30 points every season, is now suddenly fighting for relevance. It's strange how much sympathy and excuses they had for Potter even with his borderline relegation level results and performances with us.

1. A strong manager will never be able to keep all his players happy. Potter tried that and look at our results. Example - Trying to placate Ziyech by playing him after his botched loan deal. Never imagine Conte or Jose doing that.

2. What chance is there that Enrique doesn't alienate players here with his ways when he's previously told Messi to STFU and play out wide.

3. A manager will always try a different tactics and not all will come off.

4. What a manager does in his personal life is his business and matters only when it affects the club and the team.

5. If Bayern fired Naglesmann because some players were not happy with him then isn't it's succumbing to the same player power that most of us have come to despise here.

6. No manager will ever be perfect and they all will have some pros and cons that's why they usually don't last long nowadays unless they become larger than the club like SAF.

7. Naglesmann should learn from this experience as this was his first job with a big club. Only time will tell though.

We should of been playing DD Fofana up front after Potter was sacked, against Villa Liverpool and Wolves in preparation for Madrid. We had nothing to lose by trying it out. We have now lost that chance and its goodbye to CL football for at least 18 months and probably longer.

DD Fofana wasn't in the Champions League squad.

It does beggar belief that you have two fit strikers, and leave both of them out of your squad for the only trophy you have left to play for ... and the only striker you include is out for the season.

Whoever made that decision should not be making any footballing decisions at Chelsea and if it was potter and his team glad he’s gone.
