This Brighton team never played as well as this season, meaning they never reached this level under potter, and no team ever will. We won everything with multiple managers, potter won nothing.

The Brighton fans probably still refer to it as "Potterball" Gol. If he stayed there who knows what they might have won. He gave the club a whole new direction and way of playing. Apparently.

We lost 4:1 when potter was in charge. Where is your argument?

What are yours now? HMM?

I love Lampard but it comes a time and point where you have to seperate the player from the manager. We're utterly clueless when we have the ball and I also believe players don't romanticize as much as us in terms of his appointment. He was just sacked because he was leading Everton to relegation, if you are a top player at a big club you expect a big coach. Tuchel came in and made us defensively strong, Lampard has come in and just made us even more wide open than under Potter.

It's totally different to when we were under Robbie, we had Drogba, Terry, Lampard himself, Ivanovic, Cahill, Cech... I can go on. Football has changed since then and big personalities are a very rare breed. Young players need to be coached and just look at Villa when it comes to Gerrard and Emery. A hard work, play for the badge and giving it all manager to someone who's been there done that at a top level.

The last thing I want to hear a manager say is "they need to know what its like to play for Chelsea" because to me thats just hiding their tactical insecurities.

What's p*ss*ng me off is that Lamps seems completely incapable of changing the game tactically here.

Rather than try a different formation (back 5?, pressing with a 4 instead of a front 3? anything really), 4 changes (substitutions), all in the same positions and playing largely thes same way. At least try something different.

We need to either get better at pressing them or stand off and hit onthe counter, because right now we  aren't doing either very well. In terms of possession, we've struggled to build up from the back all game, yet haven't done anything like drop in an extra midfielder to the backline, nothing.

5th sub made just now, same as before, midfielder for midfielder, no formation change.

Oh Dear. What you get when you start Sterling & Pulicic and have Ziyech and Aubameyang on the bench.

What a sh*t show. At least Spuds are losing.

They don’t. Brighton fans have vocally expressed that De Zerbi made them much more cut throat in attack.

What could we expect from players if this is their third coach in less than 6 months. They are totally messed up in all aspects. What I'm sure is that I don't want to see this next season.  Owners better get proper coach and full clear out of deadwood from the team.

I can't remember the last time someone outplayed us like this at the Bridge...

Aston Villa - didn’t even get out of second gear

Again, an opponent was given all the time and space to shoot. That's how Madrid scored their second goal.

It's the midfield problem again. Not helping the defence at all.

I thought we'd be better with Zakaria in there today, but he's been all over the place just like everyone else.

Far too many line up changes this season. There is no understanding or team work between the players out there at all.

Apparently you're one of them fans...

Did you watch us against Dortmund? Did you see us rip apart villa and have 29 shots (where we should have scored 4), did you see the earlier results in the champions league, particularly against Milan?

There WERE signs of improvement if people chose to see them. Admittedly there was not a significant improvement in results - but As I said 5000 times, it was always going to take time.

SPOT ON! Now we have nothing, absolutely nothing, out possessed by a mile, outshot by a mile, outplayed by a mile.  We have NOTHING.  We could be losing this by 8 and I'm not even joking!! I think we are probably the worst side in the whole of the league, which means one thing, the only way is up (unless of course its relegation next year).

Last time I checked 4:1 is worse than losing 2:1 with a quarter left to play. How about you get out now?

What about your excuses then about the injuries??????

Chelsea have been my life since I was a 10 year old kid in 1965 but I can't remember such an inept looking side EVER!

Even when we got stuffed 0-6 at Rotherham in the old second division in the 80s we didn't look this bad. I genuinely feel like crying.
