Sorry to rain on that positive, but that team had Costa, Fabregas, Pedro, Matic, Cahill, prime Azpi, prime Kante, Courtois and most importantly, Eden Hazard. The best we have is a 38 year old Thiago Silva and a bunch of overpriced, overpaid and overhyped footballers that don't come close the level of any of the above players.

I have spent the past 10 years saying Sterling is one of the worst and most frustrating footballers I have ever seen in an England shirt, and now he's playing for Chelsea. He was carried in that City team from the day he joined them. The only thing he ever had was good movement in the box. For years I have said Koulibaly was a bang average and overhyped CB at Napoli, he's also here. Now we are going for a coach that almost the entire Chelsea fanbase was mocking when he was a Tottenham manager..........I feel like I have been cursed.

I couldn’t watch the game but that starting lineup was bizarre. We are now in limbo because of the other bizarre decision which was to hire Lampard. Pochettino would be mad to start with this team now. Wait until the summer and get the team in early for pre season. A fresh start and drill the team. 

Massive improvement on last season's result  to be fair. , Thank God we got rid of that manager.

How many of that lot were in the team that finished 10th though ?

To be honest I can't wait for this to end but I'm dreading next season too !

Yep, and as good as everybody has been saying Enzo has been, he's been as bad as anybody of late. Even when he was peforming well, it's not like we saw a Fabregas level performance did we? These players were brought in for their potential, so where is it? I have not seen a single performance from those young players that has made me look up and say he is going to be a star. f**k me, even Glen Johnson was showing more potential than this when we bought him in 2003.

I remember the times when Bosingwa , Kalou, Meireles, Obi Mikel were considered as flops. 

They are way ahead from current players.

Kalou, Mikel, Essien, all brought in around a similar age as these young players, all 3 of them gave a lot more, especially Essien. Essien was raw in his first season, but we could all see what he would become, I don't see any of that with the young players we have signed.

Even Thomas Frank said he was pleased we showed Brentford respect with our starting line up. 

Lampard has been so abysmal but I can't say I am surprised.

I agree and i don't think that a normal person will argue about all of this. 

Since 2013 we are in nonstop up and down and last 7 years we didnt do anything to stop this. Despite all of all good players that we had and this is the reason why Hazzard left. Since him i don't see someone who is willing to play for the club, only bunch of people for big money.

Lukaku will change something? Hell No. Even Inter fans hate him now.

Got the team selection completely wrong, never going to score in 10 games with a line up like that. Nobody around the box to receive the ball when we had pass or cross options, best chances fall to Kante and Silva. A straight forward corner and we couldn't deal with it, absolutely relegation team stuffs ( we are close there). Second half was better with the additional attackers, just to prove the starting 11 was wrong. Missed chances as usual, does Auba even train these days? Another counter and we let it in. See game like this way too many times this season. Potter was the worst Chelsea manager ( this century ) on record , then Frank came and said hold my beer. Ok, too harsh on Frank, but for god sake his decisions are making life difficult for the team and himself.

Suggestion for Frank and everyone who played tonight: Pool this week's salaries and donate the lot to the Trussell Trust. You haven't earned a penny of it.  Overrated and overpaid the lot of you.
