August 5, 20232 yr Just hope we give him as many tools as possible to succeed. There is clearly a much better working relationship and understanding between upper management and the coaching team this time around. Pochettino will be looking to try and win the league as soon as possible. Whilst acknowledging that this is a process/project (I know we are all tired of these buzzwords). To succeed though we will need to give him top tier talent whether that's unearthing gems or signing well known players who fit our squad and our playstyle. Either way the early signs are very promising! Will be curious to see if Pochettino can nab a win whilst Pep and Klopp are still here. However, if he can't hopefully we will be well placed to dominate the league once they leave. Edited August 5, 20232 yr by LongtimerLurker

August 6, 20232 yr A bit sh*t that Liverpool is our first game because that's going to be a tough one. Either way, I'm confident in Pochettino and our boys! Come on!!!
August 7, 20232 yr In terms of attackers I really hope we don't fall into a trap with all this Lukaku-offloading business. If Broja is close to being back I would absolutely keep hold of him and let him fight for his place. He is our boy and I bet he dreams of leading the line. Previous regimen made the massive Lukaku-blunder and if we keep on suffering for it it could end up Chelsea selling Broja to a rival and we end up with a striker on massive wages who has a chronic injury in Vlahovic. That could be a massive demotivating aspect to entire squad. Just sell Lukaku to Juventus for 1 pound and go on with life. Now I see rumours where Pochettino is not convinced of Vlahovic and rumours where Broja is heading to West Ham. If we sell Broja and aquire Vlahovic to offload Lukaku it is a lose-lose for everyone. Only positive outcome of that is we get rid off manboy.

August 7, 20232 yr Some reports Pochettino wants 4 more signings, and 3 of those players are now know. 1. Strong, athletic midfielder - Caicedo 2. A pure CDM - Adam's 3. And attacking mid/right winger - Olise 4. A striker - ?

August 9, 20232 yr Before pre-season: Mood was neutral, is Pochettino the right man? Who will we buy and offload...🤔 During pre-season: Mood was very good, Pochettino looks a good dude and football looks great. Could this be a good season after all 😀 After pre-season: Crying because our biggest signing is out half the season, Caicedo is still with Brighton, we apparently need 4 more players, Liverpool game is in a few days and we have come so low that when you hear rumours of Kepa being wanted (finally) you fear he might leave. 😭 BR Chelsea fan
August 9, 20232 yr If you look at the rumours today it feels like our squad is far from being ready. Our keeper-situation is open due to Bayern coming for Kepa, midfield is far from being settled, attacking situation is open due to injury and lack of wingers Rumours: Kepa to Bayern Caicedo talks ongoing Sterling to Bayern Gallagher could leave Broja is in WHU sights We could basically field a starting 11 after the window is closed that consists of maybe 60% of the players we currently have. All the talk about finishing top 4 are beginning to sound a bit fsr fetched.
