I reckon Big Ange will be gone this time next season. He’s new manager bounce has gone and he’s got no plan B. 
 

This is why we need to get Poch. Hee not perfect but he’s proven PL quality manager.

He’d be absolutely perfect for Liverpool. His Spurs squad needs too many players in and out to be successful whereas Liverpool already have a squad set up for the press.

 

I can't work this team out.

I was 10000% sure they downed tools after that Arsenal performance, thought that just the beginning of the end and it was going to get worse from there. But we've been excellent since then. 

Still not going to get ahead of myself, but play like that in our next 3 games and Pochettino might've just bought the fans respect for another season. 

Definitely a set up to build on and adapt when needed. Gives James the option to play inverted too which would be ideal in the long term. 
 

Not looking good for Chilwell. 

We're progressing and starting to click now. Taken longer than I expected, but good to see the players are improving.

Madueke's becoming a menacing prospect for defenders, Gallagher's stepping up as our leader, Cucurella looks like a new player after the positional change, Caicedo's growing in confidence and Trev's fallen back in favour after not featuring for the first half of the season.

The Arsenal performance a few weeks back was a shambles, but they're battering everyone at the moment. Outside of that match, we've been on a good run of form recently.

We'd be mental to flick him off in my opinion just as we're starting to see real progress, unless he doesn't want to be here beyond this season.

Can't believe I'm saying it but I think I would have Chilly out over Cucu at this rate, not that I rate either of them tbh. But at least Cucu is more available and has been fantastic in this role. Chilwell has been bang average for a while and he's not going to get any better on the treatment table, should be looking to offload him. 

The tactical change with moving Cucurella into midfield is everything. The extra man in midfield gives the attacking players and midfielders that little bit of extra space they needed and it's making a hell of a difference to how we build up our attacks. There's a noticeable change to our aggression too. These two changes are something to build on.

I think 6th grants Europa League now, despite what happens in the FA cup.

No surprises here. Need to win every game here on out.

Well done Poch, more of same. 

If we finish top 6 Poch should keep the job regardless of anything.

Next season James and Chilwell back, alongside Enzo and Lavia and in attack Nkunku.

6th only guarantees Europa League if United fail to win the FA Cup. If we finish 6th, and United win it, we drop down to the Conference League. I think we have left it too late either way though, I think Newcastle will take 6th. 

He's had a pretty difficult season. Any manager would have struggled havig so much of his first team squad out. 

I think he's done relatively well though several areas for improvement as has been very poor and below expectation tactically sometimes. 

He's about mid way through a 2 year contract. I'd let him continue as it looks like its coming together. We can give till December of 2nd year of contract as if we terminate at that point, won't be too late for the right manager to engineer a turnaround and also won't hit us financially as hard as it might. 

But then again we don't know what contractual terms he signed in terms of objectives ie top 4, 6 or 8 to determine if he's a goner or not. 

Progress nevertheless.

I expected us to be here earlier but it’s understandable now looking at all the disruptions we have had over 18 months. Completely new squad, multiple manager changes and young players, they are playing for the manager and changing manager now would set everything back.

Irrespective of where we finish let Poch finish his contract, as the players are responding to him.

Also sometime you need a battering or injuries to force a solution that works.

It's a shame that it took Poch 9 months to just do what City and Arsenal have been using for years

 

But either way, we look miles better in this system and the players are clearly playing for Poch, if we keep this up for the last 3 games then he should get another season

Seems like Boehly & Co. would have to be criminally insane to sack him now.

Things have started to click right when he had no doubts about who to choose and the lineup chose itself due to lack of players. But kudos for the last two games against London rivals, we’ve enjoyed ourselves massively at the Bridge. Imagine where we’d be with a competent coach! (a bit of knee jerk here, but just imagine it)

Personally if he has us in Europe I think he's done his job. It's a head to head between Newcastle, United and us. 

As mentioned if United win the Fa cup then they're guaranteed Europa either way. If they win it and finish anywhere below 6th, then 6th get conference league and no European football for 7th.

In an ideal world United don't win the Fa cup and 7th gets conference league. Thereby giving us 2 possible positions (6th and 7th) as routes back into Europe. I'll be honest I'll take conference at this point, we've won the Europa League and I think winning all trophies available is not onky a good flex. Based on where we're at now there's no guarantee how we'll we would do in the Europa League. Whereas in the conference league we would be favourites.

Too early to call all the permutations, so I wouldn't put too much stock into it. For now I think we just keep our attention on us and forget the clubs around us. We can't really influence their results so we just try and win out and see where the dominoes fall.

I’ve been hearing it doesn’t matter, 6th is Europa league. Like you I thought it was we need City to win FA Cup. 
 

Newcastle play United, Spurs, and Brentford. 
 

It’s entirely possible.

No way. Europa provides another outlet for Champions League and the competition itself has become rather prestigious. 

I'm not going to get too excited about Poch taking us into next season despite that last couple of games, end of the day look what Liverpool are doing to Spurs now, they're terrible.
