May 2, 20242 yr I’m growing fonder of him each interview. He makes a good point in his post match interview here, we finished 10th with Hazard, Costa, Terry, Fabregas, Ivanovic et al.
May 2, 20242 yr Jaysus Fatface just when I was thinking ther might be something there. That f**king interview!
May 2, 20242 yr Listening to his post match interview I think he’s talking like someone who knows he will be sacked. I am not fan of him after Arsenal defeat but I feel if we sack him this will disrupt the young players who obviously are playing for him and they seem to LOVE him!!
May 2, 20242 yr What was odd? Serious question. Just now, Niall1905 said: Bloody hell that interview was odd

The Arsenal game was a Conte style turning point.

But that's not been a problem for him though. Setting up from the start. His achilles heel is when he has to change the game from the bench. Most times that's where he stumbles.

Everyone had that nice teacher at school that wasn't really the best teacher but the students loved them because their lesson was just a place to mess around with your friends, that's Poch. Now that the players have had a season to acclimatise to the league we need someone who's tactically great, that isn't Poch.

He felt very on edge as soon as it was mentioned about managers needing time, although as @El regreso has said it could have been the language barrier. Does feel like there’s been a big shift to fighting his own corner recently which might be a sign he isn’t overly confident he’s staying this summer
May 2, 20242 yr I wonder what team will he put out against West Ham. the forward line and mid field looked knackered.. we have literally no bench.

I reckon Casadei could do 90 minutes quite well and Acheampong looked worthy of more minutes. Plus we might have some more senior players back who could come on for a 20-25 minute cameo - Colwill and Nkunku rumoured to be available for selection against West Ham.
May 2, 20242 yr Saw some quotes from him and seems like he knows he’s getting the sack, although anyone could of come to that conclusion anytime over the last 6 months. Arsenal aside, I do think performances and results have improved a bit over the last few months. Far from convinced he’s the man for the job but a 6th/7th finish and two narrow losses in the cups is an improvement on last year.
May 2, 20242 yr Poch when asked the aim for next season if he is here: “I cannot tell you, I cannot say nothing. What I can say? What I can say? …Chelsea. If we want to match the history of Chelsea I think it’s a lot of work to do. And we’ll see if we have time to build this way.” [sky] #cfc
May 2, 20242 yr If the club are super keen on Amorium, they will have to sack Poch this summer as Amourium is clearly on his way. For me, I would keep Poch. We are showing more consistency and improvements. We’re harder to beat. Imagine what Poch could do with a fully fit squad?

May 2, 20242 yr After what he said the other day about not be able to talk to the owners and the latest interview, pretty sure he's on his way out. I'm not saying what he said was wrong, but every manager knows you don't complain about the owner if you want stay in the job for a while. I'm not fussed either way, but pretty sure the owners have made their mind up.
May 2, 20242 yr Jesus, anyone would think that we’ve beaten Real Madrid in a champions league final by 5 goals! We’ve got the usual three points from Spurs, playing better than them, I’ll give him that, but beating this lot is almost a given every season. Let’s see how we fare against trickier opposition, like Bournemouth

Especially as of recent games. If we could land an elite manager I would quite happily get rid of Poch but I am not keen on restarting this whole process again with another manager that’s a marginal upgrade.

How good were the tactics against Burnley and Sheffield United?
