For me I'm more encouraged by the fact there finally seems to be some tactical structure to performances and a willingness (with Cucu inverting) to adapt with the times.

If this carries on in the last three games then that will be 8 of the last 9 games that would have been tactically strong performances (admittedly the exception was a horror show) and with that in mind I'd probably be inclined to hold fire on wanting him out (short of Alonso or Pep declaring interest, haha).

I'm wavering now. Sp*** C*** Fatface has done some good work recently and perhaps he has a point on the relative youth of our squad. (For clarity @Mod has set an autocorrect so whenever I type P o c h it defaults to Sp*** C*** Fatface. I would never be so petty). Assuming it all doesn't go tits up in the next 3 games we should keep him on.

If Poch can keep up this form we'd be mad to let him go.

My only issue is he seems to have stumbled on this solution via our horrendous injuries? So long as when Enzo is fit we don't revert to Caicedo being completely isolated in midfield.

Also the owners need to support him by retaining Conor and Trev.

Yeah, why did it take Enzo getting injured for Poch to revert back to his preseason methods of midfield overloads? He abandoned this the moment Nkunku got injured. 

 

David Ornstien, (whom some think is the most reliable sports media source), on a US channel, I think it was NBC, stated the owners are demanding Europa League football for next season from Poch, and that Jose, Conte, Flick and Amorim will, for sure, not become our manager IF a vacancy comes up.

 

 

 

Why has taken Pochettino so long to realise what everybody and their dog were shouting most of the season? We all knew that  the midfield was just Caicedo , trying to cover all the midfield and making him look like a championship player. It’s taken Enzo going to surgery for Pochettino to get this. Thankfully, he’s understood that we needed a third man in midfield to help in transition.

If he had realised sooner, we could be challenging for Top 4 rather than hoping one of Newcastle or Man Utd slip up just so we can get into the Conference League.

Exactly the sort of questions some of these analysts and journalists should be asking .

We would 100% be near Villa at 4th. 

The narrative that this team isn't good enough and that we have mid table players is now put to bed. Amazing what happens when a manager actually manages.

Tbf I'd wager at least 80% of the fanbase were complaining why Poch didn't revert to his preseason tactics once Nkunku was injured. 

According to the points won since January 1st we are the 4 best team.

If that's the case then I'd rather keep Poch for another season even though I'm still on the fence about him being able to fix our defence.

TT is a legend but if Pooch is getting a tune out of these players I say give him time. Let's see what happens in the next 3 games.

So time has done its thing. We have found players to form the core of the team. We have found ways to win some games. 

Circumstances have played massive part to our season. Again 14 injured players in the first team.

And we have witnessed a season with massive ups and downs which is the biggest telling sign of a young squad. 

Let Pochettino continue. Hopefully circumstances are better next season. We could really fight for top 5 next season if we make good signings and are much less injured.

Let's not forget it was only about 2 weeks ago we got thrashed 0-5, and had looked awful every week. A couple of decent games doesn't change that.

 TBF to Poch I somewhat accept his reasoning given in the post-match interview, where he states he couldn't possible have done it earlier as other issues needed to be sorted out. If he means he prioritised getting us scoring again above all else, I fully agree with him.
