I’d take Petrovic back in an instant! 

Would he have stopped some of the shots Sanchez has this season, possibly not! Would he have been better in playing from the back and clearing better under pressure that led to silly goals, 100%!

No doubt he notices the sh*tshow we currently have and is thinking to himself he can definitely get a shot next season if he keeps his form up. 

Statistically not a better shot stopper than Sanchez but an overall more balanced GK that calms our back line a lot more.

Maybe whoever our new manager is next season takes a shine to him in the way Maresca has Sanchez.

Will believe it when I see it. 

Owners have spoken before about a long term vision but Tuchel, Potter, Lamps as caretaker and Poch in the space of two seasons, Maresca making it 5 in 3 seasons (not including Brunos one game), means I need to see proof on this.

Poch was the only one the sporting directors wanted and even then they weren't convinced, hence the 2 year contract. 

Maresca seems like he is their guy. 

Started quite well but declined sharply enough. think there’s some serious revisionism about him. From what I’ve seen the difference between and Sanchez is negligible either way.

Is hard to imagine Winstanley, the main guy, was not a fan of Potter having worked with him at Brighton.

Must be because most of the outfield players in France are having a nice lunch, so unable to intercept any passes.

Yeah a lot has to be questioned about the standard of the league Diego Moreira is considered the best LB in the league. 😂

 

Funny, Forrest who are above us in the league signed Strasbourg Keeper Sells. roughly 8 million... senior at 32 but in peak years - was a fantastic upgrade for them. We then loan Petrovic to Strasbourg. You could say we strengthened a rival and weakened us with the move.

Mason Greenwood is currently top scorer.

3rd best Goal Keeper in the league with regards to saving expected goals. Vastly ahead of Donnarumma.

He was very good at this in the MLS, so at the moment it is last season in the PL that is the outlier ... question is whether that is down to the step up in quality. We'd need to see him in the PL again to validate that

A loan to Burnley if they come up and lose Trafford would be the perfect test for that.

Purely on goals against they're the best defense in top four leagues since us in 04/05. I know that won't translate to PL level but you'd imagine they'll still be reasonably solid especially compared to the teams around them.
