August 30, 20232 yr Hear people saying some players not ready for the step up we were playing against poxy Wimbledon. Just think of the money spent and the teams we are putting out, and still we have no proven goal scorers Its unbelievable

Burstow is not a premier league level forward, and I dont think he ever will be tbh. Good championship striker maybe. Hopefully Broja can help carry the burden although he has been out 8.months with an horrific injury, just praying Jackson stays fit.
August 30, 20232 yr Author It won’t be long before we start hearing the same old “we should be seeing an improvement by now” or “I can’t see any progress”.
August 30, 20232 yr Colwill minor ankle injury. Was seen walking applauding the fans full time with ice pack around left ankle. No limp.

I've already seen "we're no better than last season" what feels like 200 times in 4 games. I'd love to be wrong but I think Poch gets put under massive pressure by the fanbase if we aren't challenging instantly, even if the performances are promising.
August 30, 20232 yr Some of the comments tonight are a bit OTT in my opinion. Did anyone really think we’d score 5 in a stroll with that starting lineup? We are through. Roll on the draw for the next round. MP is the correct manager at the correct time.
August 30, 20232 yr Brighton will have a packed schedule and we've got a Monday night game the weekend after. No excuse not to play close to the best Xl here.

None of them seemed to have a good game apart from Madueke in the first half. Then we needed the bigger names to come on and get us the win. You would like to think that against a League Two side, a few more players would be able to stand out.
August 30, 20232 yr Full draw: Ipswich Town v Wolverhampton Wanderers Exeter City v Luton Town Aston Villa v Everton Manchester United v Crystal Palace Port Vale v Sutton United Bradford City v Middlesbrough Bournemouth v Stoke City Lincoln City v West Ham United Brentford v Arsenal Chelsea v Brighton & Hove Albion Salford City v Burnley Fulham v Norwich City Blackburn Rovers v Cardiff City Liverpool v Leicester City Newcastle United v Manchester City Mansfield Town v Peterborough United Ties to be played week commencing 25th September 2023.

Close to our best team got took to extra time against Plymouth the year before last. Sometimes sh*t happens against a highly motivated underdog playing the biggest game of their career.

August 30, 20232 yr Did I read right that Enzo scored and open goal and missed an open goal too? How often does that happen to the same player in the same half?
