Fulham v Chelsea (PL) Mon 2nd Oct 2023 20:00 GMT

Featured Replies

Broja not fit for more than a minor role, so Sterling our likely forward. 2 of our 4 different league scorers (Carney and Jackson) out, leaving just the hopeless Sterling and Disasi.

Gotta go with 1-0 to Fulham and a Willian goal from 2 low scoring sides.

Just a heads up for @Munkunkuahead of Zeta putting up the predictions thread  ;)

Idiot. Enjoy dropping points when Chelsea win 18-0.

Sterling will play, whether it's as a striker or on the wing is anyone's guess. I don't think it's responsible for throw in Broja and hope it will work out, he's been out for almost a year and just got back into the team. Playing some other  kids we haven't even seen before it's crazy. We went into the season with 1 fit striker and it's no surprise we landed in this situation, and it's a madness how Jackson managed himself 5 bookings in about just about as many games, you'd think he's a DM or LB by that stats.

In B4 you predict a narrow 2:1 loss for us with Willian the first scorer.

Let's just hope that if we are winning narrowly and want to eat the clock up we don't take a player off without bringing a sub on.

We made 5 substitutions against Brighton and only brought 4 players on. We played the last two minutes with ten men when we didn't have to. :face_palm:

You know what, with Cucu performing as he did against Brighton I actually wouldn’t mind him starting this one. Broja and Carney are probably not fit to start do I’d go with:

            Sanchez

Disasi Silva Colwill Cucurella

           Caicedo Enzo

Maatsen Palmer  Mudryk

           Sterling

Maybe Gallagher in for Maatsen, which means Enzo in the 10 and Palmer to the right. Have yet to be convinced by Enzo playing there, though

Chilly couldn't be subbed. You have 3 windows for subs. The 3 windows had been used. Short of keeping a window up your sleeve in case of an unforeseen injury, there's nowt you can do.

The amount of players Brighton brought back in to their 11 for the game vs Villa, only to be thrashed 6-1, is a reminder to us not to get too carried away with our win in midweek against essential their B team plus a couple first choice players.

Down to 15th now heading in to this one.

I don’t look at the table anymore to keep my sanity

I can easily see us losing this also such is our luck already this season

Fulham will be a difficult opponent.  Silva always has them playing hard. This should be a winnable match. Cucurella is back in the fold and it worries me.  Hope I'm wrong and he can change his ways.  CFC really needs to win this game.

The table lies. I don’t often say that but we are way better than 15th. On goals against we are 5th. There is lots of upside might not show against Fulham but we will discover how to score goals.

I'd take that over the half-12 Saturday kick-offs!

I like early kick offs. Finishing a hard work off week and waking up to early football, I love it.
