You may get a chance to find out if and when Gallagher is sold. But perhaps cast your mind back to Man United away when we were totally overrun in midfield with Caicedo and Enzo in midfielder, and Gallagher suspended.

That was a hard watch in the latter part of the second.

On and off field team seemingly no clue how to manage a game, 3 up should of been shut up shop and bank the points. Instead a 💩 show of desperation defending once again. Got very lucky at the end.

It is just unfair on the players that played that people will be saying it is because Gallagher did not play, that was why we lost to United at Old Trafford with the rivalry between Chelsea and United, in the presence of United fans at Old Trafford.

Is it Gallagher that will track Mctominay and stop him from scoring two goals against us? We have conceeded several goals this season with Gallagher on the field, nobody blames Gallagher when we conceed goals and Gallagher is playing, we blame other people.

How will he stop United from scoring against us?

Last 30 mins what a sh*t show, most who have watched Luton this year must be aware of Doughty's threat yet we did nothing to counter. Another decisive goal from Madueke but nowhere to be seen to help Gusto with 1 v 1 situations. Still it's a win and at this stage taking points from the teams below us is what matters.

Quite so.

Gave both Arsenal and Manchester City in particular a very hard game, and scored 3 against Arsenal, who only beat them in the end thanks to a 96th minute goal from Declan Rice.

It was a great effort to get to 3-0 up against them.

Disappointing to see them peg us back to 2-3 but ultimately the same narrow win as the best two teams in the country managed. Oh, and Liverpool only drew here, and Newcastle lost.

I missed the game in real time as I was driving my grandchildren home. So I watched the recording with the benefit of knowing the result.

So whilst certain players were still very frustrating,  I could also see better aspects in some of their play. Yes Jackson is brain dead on the ball but his effort and the way he received the ball on the half turn was very encouraging.  He was done three times by Mengi and didn't even get a free kick.

Broja for me is cooked. Adebayo was far better and I'm not saying I even rate him.

Yes I can also see the game management was poor from Poch,  but actually I think this was just the right game at this time of year. Luton away is like a cup game against a Championship side, so with both Preston and Middlesbrough coming, this was a good prelude for what these youngsters can expect in January.

10/10 for trying to steer her in a good direction anyway. Watching Chelsea with her, even if we lose badly, is much better than having to sit with her watching the likes of TFS (that's Taylor f**king Swift in my house 🙂 )

😀. She is 23! It's taken a long time.

Credit where it is due. For me Pochettinos line up worked, for the most part, for around 72 minutes.

Luton were always going to press  on a tight pitch, with their fans on top of the players, and showed the energy and effort we expected of them.

However we dealt with it, Petrovic only had catches and passes to make. Their set pieces were not a threat and we shut down their supply well, while also making the most of our own counters, getting shots on target with basically every shot, while they coild not get one until the disallowed goal.

Well done to all 3 of Jackson (who I thought looked good as a wide player, good control, running and some nice passes, like on the third goal) man of the match Palmer for 2 very classy finishes, and Madueke for both his goal and dangerous play.

Broja still not sharp, still not a surprise. However removing him was Pochettinos first mistake as Nkunku not only added nothing as a striker, he lost any ball that came to him but, most crucially, we lost a vital part of our ser piece defensive play.

Because not long after that disallowed goal they started peppering us with crosses and we kept missing out, where we had denied them everytime before.

On top of that Enzo came on and we lost an out ball to Madueke, so we took even more pressure.

Colwill also became exposed, and Gusto even more so as both wide men started roasting them every time.

End of the day though is a good result, the order of the goals leaves it feeling less of a win but it was not.

Liverpool needed a last minute goal here to get a draw. Newcastle lost here, Arsenal got a last minute winner and City and Spurs won by 1 goal as well.

It is a hard place to come on a bumpy small pitch, but we got the job done. So on the end well done to the lads, end the year well and let's put this cr@p year behind us and have better times in 2024.

KTBFFH!

Good day for us - United have just lost so we're now only 3 points back from 7th !

Fingers crossed that Newcastle lose at Liverpool on Monday, and Brighton draw at West Ham on Tuesday, as that will leave us right in the mix with the three teams immediately above us, and West Ham not far away in 6th as well 🙂

Yeah no, would take a very extreme situation for me to hope Liverpool win.

Enzo i

Was massively overpriced, couple of fancy passes a d nothing else.

So you don't like fancy passes? What more do you want from his game? He's not much of an attacking midfielder, so he may not score many goals for you, so what more do you want from his game?

You don't even want him to be starting for Argentina, because according to you he is overrated, there are many people in Argentina, so they should have many players that are better than him that should be starting, he shouldn't be starting for Argentina? Isn't that so?

Terrible people.

No, we need to ask the manager. The players are doing what he is instructing. This is something of Pochettino's making because it wasn't there during Tuchel, Potter or Lampard's time as coach.

What you're forgetting Scott is that this isn't the same team, it's barely even the same team here under Potter. 7 of the starting 11 weren't here when Potter was managing the side, more than half the XI.

Just think the criticism of Caicedo is ridiculous. Gave the ball away once bit otherwise did well. Basically the only midfielder we had after Gallagher ran out of puff   As well as the interceptions and tackles carried the ball brilliantly down the touchline.
‘Jackson ran down some blind alleys but held the ball well and  looked good on the ball. He is looking the part more week by week. Only Broja really wasn’t up to much, and nkunku.

Tottenham ?

People need to look at the league table. It's clear as day that a win for Liverpool is the best result for us in this fixture in terms of maximising our potential position this season in the league. We won't get near Top 4, but we need all the clubs from 5th to 9th to drop points.

I get what you are saying but sometimes on principle logic goes out the window and hatred prevails. I never want to see Liverpool or their whiney, entitled fans win anything. I would indeed support tottenham winning over liverpool.

I read Caicedo had a 97% pass accuracy, he was far from the worst on the pitch, nkunku seemed to be strolling around don’t think he touched the ball? And Broja was useless as usual.

I also thought some of the regains from him were Kante-esque. Sometimes he gets the timing wrong and gives away poor fouls but when he gets it right he kills their attacks stone dead. I think he is definitely improving game by game. It's all about fitness and game time now. Same for Lavia.
